Mine is a 3000vx maybe that makes a difference but is noticeably wider than my 634.

@Go-For-Chill. Maybe smaller by tag size in the waist. Example my tag 38 634s has a 38 waist, 14.3 thigh and 10.2 knee. My tag 38 samurai 3000vx has a 37.5 waist 15 thigh and 10.8 knee.

@Crispy-Heron. I think the 520 and the 211 will be the one's. The 211 is more relaxed than the 555 with a roomier thigh but still tapers. The 555 is unique in the sense that its fitted though the leg and knee but the leg opening is not that small. Look at the 520 thats the closet I know.

@m4xime. Any Samurai cut with 500, 0500, 5000 is usually a straight cut. You may find one with 888 kind of rise and a 634 leg. The 3000 is the widest cut they make. Its wider than anything IH currently offers.

The closer to 888is the 211. Its a relaxed taper. They do make straight cuts with high rise but I will say they are closer to iH 1955 than 888

The Samurai 511 cut is closer to the 777 than any other IH cut. Having said that,is close to nothing that IH makes. The rise is low and similar to the 777 but the taper is more aggressive that a 777 resulting in a smaller knee and hem measurements. If you are familiar with the PBJ 013 cut they are more similar to that than anything IH makes.

In my opinion their sizing corresponds well with typical American sizing.

@Mizmazzle. I took xl in Anderson full zip wool sweater and I wear 4xl in IH UHF. I could off went with 2xl Anderson but I like it fitted.

They are very special to me. I am fortunate to have a few pairs from Mike. I got his 634 SR UHR and his PIH5dct the 25oz double indigo with the turquoise arcs. We had become really good friends. The Iron Heart forum brought us together. One of the reasons that this place is so special to me.

This has some history. Was originally bought by Mike (@Filthy2123ozjunkie ). He lost some weight so we did an exchange with something I had in a smaller size.

@Mizmazzle. I do lift weighs regularly about 4x per week. I treat my low back like every other muscle and not an afterthought or something I need to be careful about. I squat 2x per week and do direct low back work after squats. It took me along time to get where I am at. I started very very light with the low back but consistent. It took 8 to 9 months to feel 100% pain free but I shaw improvements at month 3. The back extension is your friend.

Back pain including chronic back pain is a consequence of a weak and tight lower back. Most remedies on back pain used by main stream focus on core stabilization and bracing but never address the real issue. I had a pretty severe injury about 20 years ago weightlifting. I hunted me for years. Feeling better and flaring up for no reason. Simple tasks as lacing my shoes can cause flare ups. I tried all the stretches and core exercises but nothing had lasting effects till I realized that I wasn't addressing the real issue. I started strengthening my low back directly. I mainly used the back extension machine and just body weight. I good place to be is a static hold for 120 seconds.. if you can do that work gradually increasing reps till you can get to 30 reps just body weight. Once you achieve that start adding some weight. 3x per week is a good frequency. It will take a few months to really see results but I am at a point that I cannot injure my back anymore. I can put my back I all kinds of compromising positions and feel confident that nothing will happen. Sorry for the long post but for most people low back issues are curable with the right approach..

@gneicher. Yes I believe that the 888XHSib is the only one that has tonal stiching in the 25oz family currently.
