@Oaktavia could you make any recommendations as far as sizing for this piece please? I would guess you went a size up resulting in the shoulders draping out more than usual, but also resulting in getting enough length. I think you nailed the fit.

First off, the fabric is amazing, to be sure. Second, what is everyone's experience with the knees of this 25oz IB fabric? I'm trying to determine if the knee measurement is just too small or if it is just the stiffness of the unworn fabric. Do they give a little? Standing straight they are fine, but bending down is quite the challenge and hurts the back of my knees.
I would hate to have to send them back. I was really sad and shocked I missed the 888 25oz IB. I was relying on the video shorts coming out to inform me of what was going to be released and was checking the YT channel frequently, but I don't think they made a video for that release and the 888's were gone by the time I found out.

Can anyone comment on how the blanket lining affects the sizing, compared with an unlined Type III for instance, especially the chest measurement? Would a 23 inch chest be more like 22 1/2 inside?

1. I had the exact same issues. I also have 2 pair of 777's that I really like but are sitting in my drawer likely never to be worn again. I tried the 634 (XHS) and the 555 (17oz NI & 21oz SB). I really like the 634's but they are too baggy for me. The 555's had the exact same problems as the 777. Going up a size made them way too big. I was scared off from the 888 bc I thought they would be too baggy. They aren't. They are everything I like about the 777 but with those problems solved. It was actually @Denimhead-0 pics on the XHS indigo that changed my mind. His pics of the 888's look to me like what I wanted the 777's to look like.
2. The higher top block does take some getting used to but I now prefer it. It solves several problems, like having to pull up your pants all the time, and other things too. Just a thought is to quit making the 666 and replace it with a "999" with a lower rise like the 777 and the same dimensions as the 888 otherwise.
3. As far as shrinkage: this references the competing ideas of getting something that fits vs. buying small and stretching it out. In my opinion, when you buy jeans that fit, your question about stretching becomes irrelevant, and I think your jeans will last longer too.
