@ShopatIronHeart : Not sure if important since the stock is quasi gone, but the measurements on the product page and in the thread are not the same.
Edit: Its only for the brown one

@JoshC Very nice thread ! only falling on this today. Video was very cool

Impressed by the repairs on some of the blown out crotches that looked not fixable in my naive eyes

Congrats on the video guys, I think your videos - on par with UK - are always showing the product really well with nice close ups

@dirtyframer Haha ok cool ! The Savannah looks also gorgeous and the brown color of it is also very much to my liking.
Keen to see your pictures of it

RE: IHJ-49 - Split Steer Modified Type III Jacket - Black or Brownposted in Jackets
Thx guys for your thoughts.
I think anyway that a "L" would make me loose the "type3/trucker" look which I think is good here, only to have more confort.
I already have a looser IH-101J-SR to accommodate tick shirts and thicker pulls, and I think it's vain to want one piece that would fit all styles
Will wait a bit for eventual other members pics of their piece (I know dirtyframer bought one ;-)) to remove the tags, but I think I'll keep it.
One thing I'll mention though for future buyers is the fact that I don't think anyone could close the sleeves buttons and take off the jacket. I have to unbutton them before taking the jacket off.
This fits well the "motorcycle" motto I suppose, since it sits really tight at the wrist,. I don't mind unbuttoning, since you need to do the rest of the buttons already anyway
Also, when closed and tight, you don't see the "excess" length in sleeves + since the sleeves have some crawled up fabric, it eases the movement around the elbow imo. -
RE: IHJ-49 - Split Steer Modified Type III Jacket - Black or Brownposted in Jackets
@ShopatIronHeart @goosehd @Mizmazzle
I ping you too guys goosehd/Mizmazzle since I know from the thread you have had the jacket for a few years, I hope I don't bother

I have trouble evaluating if the jacket is, lets say fitted, or on the borderline of small, because it's so heavy
I intend to wear this mostly with t-shirts + sweatshirts (first 2 pics) but probably sometimes with shirts too. What do you all think of the fit ? Will the jacket loosen over time ? For now it feels a bit like something I carry more than I wear

Shoulders are good and I can cross arms without restriction nor back tension, but it feels...well...heavy.
If it was denim, I would deem the fit near perfect for me, like a type3 should fit imo, but I'm all ears guys.
What do you think of the length ? It came a few mm shorter than advertised but not much. There aren't any "L" anyway that I could buy to compare, but I feel like it would be too big anyway (only length would be better imo)
Last pic is closed with the last season's slubby, and that feels a bit tight.
Sorry for all the pictures

with shirts:

Not sure if destiny was telling me not to buy this, because my browser suddenly decided to revoke all cookies and to quit on me 3 times in a row, but anyway, I insisted

Ordered an M, and asked for 1 with a smaller P2P if one exists. There were only 3 M's at launch, and thx for Firefox I was not the first order through apparently.
Crossing fingers :
I wont"t say I have never been excited for an item I bought, but here I really am

RE: IHJ-49 - Split Steer Modified Type III Jacket - Black or Brownposted in Jackets
@SamD The color looks so nice

Thanks for having taken the time to take the shots, with those and the upcoming product page pictures, it will give a pretty good idea on what to expect in terms of colors
My latest hesitations are slowly vanishing in the air

RE: Iron Heart YouTube Videosposted in Iron Heart Products
@SamD thanks a lot for the info !
Yeah I have some notions around filming in studios etc. so I understand perfectly what you mean

I think your outside photos might be a good idea (only if you have time off course !). Since the fabric is slightly different, new buyers could see and compare the new studio photo vs natural light (since the old forums ones from previous buyers might not reflect the new batch).
Thx again guys for all the infos you give us

RE: Iron Heart YouTube Videosposted in Iron Heart Products
Damn @SamD ! You're bringing me one step closer to the IHJ-49-BRN with this uber nice video

Not sure if its the great studio lightning or else, but the brown of the jacket looks so gorgeous
Kind of a chocolate brown to it, darker than the actual product page fabric imo...do you think the video reflects correctly the color ? I really like it that way I must say, but reading the forum thread,I know there were apparently 2 types of brown.
Do you know more ? Is the leather different from last batch ? Great video anyway !

RE: IH-748-BRN - 10oz Herringbone Wide Work Pants - Brownposted in Bottoms
The drape on those and the green ripstop one looks so good

I hope those fabric will one day make their way (if they hadn't already) to less wide work pants.
All the recent baker etc. series are really too wide to my taste, but I'm happy IH can satisfy more morphology also
The fact is I've find myself liking more and more pockets "à-la-chino", aka open on the side, but I find the chino's fabric a tad too messy in terms of wrinkles. -
RE: IHJ-49 - Split Steer Modified Type III Jacket - Black or Brownposted in Jackets
Always wanted a brown leather jacket, and have always mostly been looking at non rough-out leather actually, but this one has really grown on me. The Savannah also restocking soon is an option

I know everyone has probably different feelings around this, but I've never given out that much money for one cloth item
but I know I'll probably keep this jacket all my life.
I just had a milestone birthday soooooo........
I have no one to keep me out of this actually

RE: IHSH-437-IND - 13.5oz Dobby Cloth CPO Shirt - Indigoposted in Shirting
@northsouthdenimguy thx man for the info. Difficult to say if it did shrink with the pictures, but I'll probably just wash it cold to be sure

Looking forward to wear this ! When the heaywave has passed

RE: IHSH-437-IND - 13.5oz Dobby Cloth CPO Shirt - Indigoposted in Shirting
@northsouthdenimguy Tell us if you had any shrink
(if you have time)
My sleeves length are just right for me now, but if it does shrink a bit, I'll probably wash this only in cold water. -
RE: IH-555-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Jeans - Indigo/Blackposted in Bottoms
@FlavourFade Thx man

I also had a "skinny" period, not too many years ago really, same as you with stretchy stuff.
Then I received a Nudie 100% cotton from someone, was hooked on non stretch denim and landed here not too long after

I sometimes wondered if I also will at some point get more comfy cut, but I don't know man, I looked at the other IH cuts and thighs/knee are always way too big for me. I have a wider denim from another brand, and yeah it's really comfortable, but with my "skinny" legs, I really look like I'm going to skate to work

RE: IH-555-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Jeans - Indigo/Blackposted in Bottoms
@don_pipone @moskiitto @yannis @Jord thx for comments guys

Like I said anyway I could not size down imo, plus I thought a bit about it, and I'm not buying IH for the look only. It plays a part sure, but I mostly buy to also have good, long-lasting products. If the brand keeps chugging along, I'll probably wear it for the rest of my life, if the finance permits

So I can have some semi-mistake regarding the fit along the way
Not sure I'll be as "fit" as now forever.
Plus it's difficult to know how a particular fabric will evolve without trying it.
There will be more 25oz, that's almost sure
Hot days are coming right my way where I am, so this one will be put away for now
