I got this thin diagonal fade. Is this due to an abrasion or natural fiber width inconsistency in the loom? I’ve seen this happen once on another pair of raw denim.

Fades are poppin today!! I can’t get over how good the 888 fit feels. Love the high rise and subtle taper. Feels & looks like a perfect pair of 1980s 501s you might have seen worn by Jerry Seinfeld in an aircooled 911.

I would love an ECRU in 888 in at least 14 oz but 18+ like the samurai cotton project would be super cool. Any ecru jeans in the works?

So now after owning both the lefty 19 oz and this guy, I have to say I think this one is more uncomfortable than the infamous lefty. I find the arms & body to be slimmer paired with a pretty stiff denim. I am prob ~20ish wears in mine. Low wear count for sure. I honestly don’t reach for it as much bc it’s still pretty uncomfortable - perhaps tho I got a size too small. 38 (medium) in both. It has a nice slim, cropped vintage look. The lefty fits more typical modern denim jacket.

Love em both. Hope I can continue to break it in more to get @Oaktavia level fades. Damn that thing is a beaut.

Looks about time for a pop of indigo. Finally seeing some transformation.

Fit check. A little big in the shoulders, but think it will drape better after a cold soak and a few wears.

@Mizmazzle I think perfect cut for black jeans. For my blues I just love mister freedom lot 64s. They feel perfectly vintage.

My current blue obsession is their lot 64 outlaw midnights. Dark inky blue warp and black weft with fun frogmouth pockets.

I like more modern jeans tho for my blacks.

Crappy mirror shot but these take all my problems with my 14 oz 777s (slightly too tight, waist too big, rise too low) and fix em like they were tailored for me. I wear a 33 in 777. These I am a 32. I was worried the thighs would be too big. But they’re just right

Yeah makes sense! I decided to pass! I realistically probably need a 32 from looking at models sizes on iron hearts retailers in combo with the measured sizes.

I’m 167, 5’9” and usually like a 16.5-17 inch waist if lower rise. 16ish can work if higher. I’m usually more limited by the thigh. Need 12.2ish and can’t taper too strongly - 2 inches down from crotch I need at least 11.5.

Really want to try this black 21 oz and don’t love the low rise of my 777s so I was trying to make this work! Too often times though I’ve made the too tight of a thigh mistake! Waist is forgiving. Thighs are not.

Guess I’ll wait till the restock this fall and keep fading my 14 oz 777s for now!

@goosehd yeah, I’ve looked at the measurement charts. They’re all fine except waist as I said - so just looking for the real world appreciated stretch in the waist.

I’ve got a pair of size 33 14 oz bb 777s that fit great other than too low a rise for my taste. I found a new without tags pair of 21 oz black 888s in size 31. The waist is small but everything else looks good. Should I buy? Will they fit?

My size 33 777 have an advertised measured waist of 34. These 888s are a 31. But should hit higher… I’ve also heard these gain a lot in the waist from stretch…

@Oaktavia also looks like this thing is armor. not seeing anything even close to a hole despite all the high contrast fades.

@Oaktavia I hope iron heart gives you huge discounts because it’s these fades that got me hooked. This jacket is legendary. Glad to have gotten one while I still could!

I’d say the fit is spot on. Just need to hem em now.
