@Brock i agree on the RCC pants, they’re great in the winter with a base player between your legs and the canvas because the pants freeze lol but anything above 50 F and it’s definitely swampy feeling.

i just keep wondering if the dry wax makes a difference with that and more tolerable throughout the year. i think i may pass on these though, even though they look awesome l

@sabergirl yeah, i totally get that sentiment.

i have pretty thin legs so the SJ cuts have always been perfect for me.

i’m stoked about the release of the guthries but sorta on the fence at the same time.

i’m not sure if they will feel like overkill outside of the winter here in chicago

hey @Brock how do you think the guthrie pants will compare to the RCC waxed double knees?

that’s my only experience with waxed canvas pants and have never felt “dry waxed”

hey dude, i’ve had a couple surly stragglers.
i’m 185cm and ride a 56cm, so i think a 54cm would be best for you based on this info.

you’re correct in that surly’s tend to run large but more specifically the effective top tube is long. so being long in the legs and short in the torso is not gonna help you.

@Danimal506 thanks dude! I would think the material would breath, it’s pretty starchy at first…i did a hot wash/hot dry and that softened it up a bit. i expect it will get softer with wear as well.

About a month ago i asked Amos if he had any plans to release a sashiko shirt in the future…and he offered to make this orchard shirt out of the material.

this is by fffaaarrr my favorite shirt. i’ll be wearing this pretty much ever day for the foreseeable future.

It was a little long and felt big out of the box so i did a hot wash and hot dry, now i feel like it fits perfectly.

Definitely get out and support Amos and the GP dudes if you haven’t already!
