@Matt - while I'm a big fan of the brown/duck color, I too would not pay $400 for those. NBs do seem to be fairly well made, but you'll never get a solid price per wear out of those at that price.

My sense is that pair will come down in price as soon as primary stock is limited.

The sneaker market as a whole has come down significantly in recent months. Maybe not for all pairs, as it is a hype market, but as an example - my purple/black Dunks that I paid close to $300 some 12-18 mos ago, are now going for under retail (sub $100). That said, if the hype isn't serious, you should be able to get into a pair of those $400 NBs at half that. Of course that is assuming you can fight the internal FOMO while you wait for the hype to subside...it's all a head game after all.

@FlavourFade - your take is spot on. The XXXL that I sold was really nice. But the chest and waist were too small - couldn’t really button them. Arms long (IH standard) which were great for me. Shoulders perfect (I have broader shoulders), and the length was a little longer than traditional T3 - which again, is what IH does to add pockets - and I love the look too. It’s an incredible jacket. Just didn’t fit my mid section all that well. But if you don’t have a gut, it could work. Check the measurements - as recommended for all pieces

I appreciate the feedback and will get myself a pair in short order. I'm actually wearing a pair of Work Trouser - 14 oz Nihon Menpu Olive Drab Selvedge Denim right now.

How do you guys compare the sizing for those easy shorts in the waist? I know they show a range but it's always tough to know upper and lower ranges and how that translates to balloony legs if you go too big.

@goosehd - that's a tough look bro. Looks even better with the Wills. Props to you for having the balls to wear that kit. The hat and the boots are like two serious bookends to that outfit. Well done.

I have a lightweight long sleeve mechanic work shirt in black from a couple seasons ago that I wear often (4 oz if memory serves). This will be a slightly heavier and more robust short sleeve (with snaps, as the aforementioned is buttons).

Dropping 4/4

@SKT - this is my favorite NB - I have that black pair and I think 4 others (Carhartt, Baklava, and a couple other colorways). Pretty much the only running shoes I own - although I don't run in them (I have a pair of Brooks for that). Just an incredibly comfortable and casual sneaker for me.

There was a time when I wouldn't wear "running sneakers" with jeans - and I only work AJ1, Dunks, and Chucks. But now I don't care about the "rules" and I pair up the 990v6 with all of my denim.

@mclaincausey - totally agree. The only Zeniths I ever liked were some of the El Primeros and a few of the plane jane Defys that they launched 5 or 6 years ago.

The PP is obviously beautiful. They rarely put out anything horrid. But of course they are WAY out of my price range.

As far as the new Rolex Land whatever - I applaud the idea but I think they went too far with the dials. They don’t do it for me at all. If that was a basic sunray dial or something else conservative from their archives, maybe I could get behind it. I also think the middle links in the bracelet are also pushing it a bit too into the bling range.

They are obviously trying to capture some of the VC and AP market with a reduced price point. But I can’t see AP buyers to even look in Rolex’s direction at this. I could be wrong.
