Second day in the UHRs. Cycled in them yesterday. They're probably too heavy for that. One thing I love about this denim is the drape. The weight really holds things together.

This jacket is a tank. Probably my favorite jacket behind the 101J.

Had to upload a pic after my second wash. Had for about ten months. Love this SBR OD. Was sad to see it go outlet.

Not quite at Oak level but it's coming along.

All you Ironheads out there know the biggest problem we face - there's not enough time in the day to fade them all. You can double up or triple up. Create a rotation. The fact of the matter is there's only twenty four hours in a day. I realized I'm not fading anything while I'm sleeping. Completely dropped the ball on seven to nine hours of fade time. To make a long story short, I've been sleeping with my type iii 21oz for about two weeks. It's kind of embarrassing to admit.

@SKT I know Im dredging up old posts, but this is so true. Giles HoF pair convinced me to buy my first pair of IHs. It basically converted me to the brand. If I was married it would've led to a divorce at this point.

I've had low 20 temps and snow where I live so the 140 has taken a backseat to the 101j-SR. I manage to get a little wear in at home. I gave it a soak. I was going to wash it, but I tried a little agitation and it didn't want to give up any indigo so I figured a soak would do fine.

@Oaktavia That soft golden sunlight is the best light, my friend.

Definitely plan on rocking this and the 101J-SR till summer. Should be enough time to make it really pop.

@krebsy This is my grail piece, man. A timeless design with the best vintage denim on the market. Definitely need some pics after that first wash.

And we're talking about stacks on the 140. This is truly gnarly stuff.

Would love a restock and additional colors. I bought all five colors of the 721. I planned on wearing them for work but the 777 cut just isn't for me. Lesson learned. Add .5 to the rises and thigh and its game over.

@AdamJ I second this. I think you just adjust to whatever amount of pockets you have. Imo, the type iii isnt suited for storage. Two small and angled chest pockets. Handwarmers for when you don't want to use the ones on your jeans. In this regard, the type ii is simpler but more functional. Two big front pockets. I don't own a type i but I think the same logic would apply.

I want to way in on the cinch. Putting aside the practical function, the cinch is an indispensable piece of the type i/ii silhouette. Pleats tapering to a cinch. If you get rid of it, your not too far away from a work jacket.

@ZackB Those stacks are glorious, man. Even with the lighting you can tell it's coming along. The stacking on the sleeves of this jacket is so gnarly looking.

Have you washed it yet? I haven't washed mine but I'm debating it. The sleeve stacks seem to be setting in so I feel it might be time.

At the start, it's almost too beautiful. It was difficult for me to style. The deep blue denim with the tonal stitching. Idk, It had a formal vibe. Then you look at Oaks and it's pure vintage. Really cool stuff. It's been one of the funniest evos I've seen. You should definitely give yours some love.

@Mister_Brue Me too. When it restocked I didn't think twice. Probably the quickest purchase I have ever made.

@ZackB We're all trying to catch Oak, man. He's an artist. The Iron Chef of indigo. The Walter White of fades. His fades are so good every gibhead from here to Timbuktu want to get a taste.

@m4xime I struggle with what you and twist seem are able to pull off. I work in a pretty conservative office. The heritage/moto/western aesthetic kind of contradicts western business/business casual, but you guys seem to be able to balance the two. Plus you have a briefcase. Maybe that does half the work.
