Recently picked up this SMP300 second hand for a very good price. These are probably the best bang for your buck out there in my opinion. If you're patient you can find them in awesome condition for a lot less then retail. It's keeping great time so far and overall feels like a tank. My next watch will eventually be a submariner but I refuse to play the AD game. Compared to a friends sub, the sub bracelet feels more comfortable, has better micro adjustments and feels slightly more premium, but the omega keeps better time and gives off more of a " tool watch" vibe, which I'm into.

It wears a lot smaller then the measurements would hint at. Compared to my Tudor black bay 41, it feels smaller, I actually really like the " out-dated " bracelet. It came with the blue rubber strap incase I want to switch.

@wjw looks great. I need to start wearing mine more. It's so comfortable.

Any eta on when these might re-stock?

Worn for a few hours inside the house and car over the last couple days. The mornings have cooled off a bit here in New York so this should get more wear going forward. The honey combs are already starting to come in. I sprayed the elbows with the water before wearing for the first time to help get them started.

Copped, couldn't resist. Might keep this one on ice for a bit as I fade my OD version.

@Matt i was pretty upset, I've had this UHF for a long time. It was weird, I didn't feel it happen, I was working in the garage and at some point I felt a cold draft on my arm and looked and saw the hole. I bought it new from self edge whenever it came out. Its one of the first ironheart pieces I ever bought. It's been washed a bunch of times and it's so buttery soft now and broken in. The patch idea is what I'm thinking. I wonder if the crew has anything laying around that matches.

Like I said, pretty nasty. I'm thinking a patch might be the best fix?

Does this only apply to jeans? I got one of my favorite UHF's snagged on a loose screw in my garage last winter and ended up with a pretty nasty gash on the elbow. I haven't worn it since as I've been debating on what to do.

I was considering a wabi sabi patch to cover it, but just inquiring here.

@Mizmazzle thanks man. Mine fits pretty well, but I wouldn't mind just a bit more shrink, so this gives me hope. The streaks annoyed me at first but they disappeared as it started to fade. Did you have a reason or timeline for when you washed, or just when it felt dirty?

I've always just washed my jeans when they seemed dirty, and I don't get as contrast as fades as a result. Part of the many reasons I only wear ironheart now is because their denim handles frequent washing well.

@Mizmazzle your jacket is awesome. Mind me asking what your washing routine was? When I got it I wanted to get the max shrink out of it, so I initially I threw mine in the wash machine on the hottest it goes , and forgot to turn tumble off, and it left a little streak on each arm from the fabric folding. The streaks have gone away as the jacket has started to fade a bit, but I still feel like I have a little shrink to get. Anyways, did you wash it a few times before wearing? And subsequently , how often did you wash? I have some spots on it I've spot cleaned.

Not sure if this is the best spot to ask but has anyone DIY'd a sandbox for the kids? If so, any types besides the standard stuff like make sure there's a cover so the feral cats don't use it as a litter box.

You boys have 2 years for the 189 you can get this in the meantime . I have the OD version of this and it's my favorite denim shirt.

@MassiveThighs that's a nice fit. Looks a little short but a nice fit over a t. I have this jacket in an XXL that I've worn sparingly for about a year and washed once. It didn't shrink as much as I was expecting but I have read that it will shrink more over subsequent washes. I am still debating selling it and getting it in an XL for a fit like yours but then I run the risk of not layering.

I am an XXL in the 21oz type 3 and the 19oz LOD type 3 but this one just seems bigger.

How does everyone size their Arizona's? I'm a 10 in my Wesco Mr Lou's but realistically should be a 10.5. In viberg I take a 10. In red wing and Alden Indy the same thing. In standard American athletic shoes like Nike running shoes I take an 11. In converse and vans I wear 10.5

I am 90% leaning towards the 10-10.5 option.

Multiple retailers have plenty in stock in size 38 including self edge , mild blend and rivet and hide. No need to be " disillusioned ".

@Shane-B I've been wearing ironheart for over 10 years ( only been aware of the forum for the last few though) and I always remember these things being super popular for whatever reason. I remember back in the day trying to get one from self edge and never having luck. This was before I knew about the iron heart site and forum.
