Re: hemming - I typically hem to 31in to allow for about 1in shrink post soak on 21oz indigo. 30 is my sweet spot.
On the XHSib do you recommend not hemming at all pre wash? I am thinking maybe to to hem to about 32in to allow me to wear them with a big cuff to get a sense if I need to take off more in the future.

32in waist will shrink to appx 31in post wash then back up to ~32in while wearing. Is that the right idea?

Sizing question here - would be first pair of 25oz / unwashed. In the 888 21oz I shoot for a 31.5 in the waist to allow for stretch. It starts tight but relaxes perfectly.

Would the same sizing logic apply for the XHSib? Seems like id be right in between the 31/32 tag size.

Any size recs for these 888-XHSib would be greatly appreciated. There are a few 31/32 floating around at other stockists and want to pull the trigger asap.

Wondering if anyone with these has seen more or less stretch with this particular denim. Should have been more clear in initial post!

Will the 18oz vintage denim stretch in the waist about 1in?
