I tried on both the Large and XL. While the Large looks better on me in terms of fit I do have tightness under my arm pits and when buttoned it pulls a little at the chest. The XL feels better but I feel like I’m swimming a bit in it. My question is, could I wash and dry the XL with any confidence of achieving a better fit?

@goosehd So here are the measurement differences for your opinion on me, basically would the difference in size between my size L 427 and size L 293 get me to my desired outcome:
293 size large compared to my actual 427 size L
Chest -1.5"
Waist -.75"
Shoulder -.25"
opening -1.25"
V Length -1"
Sleeve -.5" -

@goosehd I hear ya and yes you are spot on. I can get a flannel or hoody on under it as is. So should probably just keep it I guess as it would be difficult to have the best of both worlds in this piece.
I'm also looking to pick up the 293 OD and would want to wear that as a shirt w just a t shirt underneath. Given the pics above (just wearing a t shirt underneath) would you suggest getting the same size (L) in the 293?
I know measurements should answer my question but on paper, the M in the 427 should work for me. -

Size check please on my 427 in size large. It's pretty roomy around my mid section but shoulders are about spot on. Think I should exchange for a medium??

@goosehd appreciate that! I'm very much on the fence between the 2. The 16-oz felt great on when I tried it at Rivet & Hide London and honestly wished I pulled the trigger now that I'm home in Colorado. But I've made some spontaneous purchases in the past that have been mistakes and really want to nail this one. If one of the 2 is a little lighter for year round wear outside of the hottest months that's the one I'll wait for.

@goosehd so I've been digging deep into the forum doing my homework on both the 292 & the 427. Question- even though the 427 may be considered a seasonal piece w the corduroy collar is it "lighter" weight and feel than the 18-oz 292?
My only other IH pieces are the 666 in 21-oz and the 633 in 21-oz. -

@goosehd thanks appreciate the reply and tips.
I’m in no huge hurry, it’s a legacy piece for me and just want to get it right. I’ll do some homework. The flux in specific sizing categories is confusing to me (opening/waist etc,) -
RE: IHSH-292-IND - 18oz Vintage Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigoposted in Shirting
I tried on the 16-oz CPO IHSH-427-IND and SZ Large is perfect for me. However I want to hold off till the 18oz Vintage Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo IHSH-292-IND is back in stock. The measurements are somewhat different comparing both in size Large. Medium in the 18oz is closer to the Large in the 16-oz but again, not spot on..I’m having a hard time deciding between the M and L in the 18-oz. I do Not want to be swimming in it nor do I want it to be tight and have to wait for it to stretch that would be worst case scenario for me… Hopeful to get some advice on what size to go with in the 18-oz.

Hoping to revive this topic. I have a pair of 633 S 21 tag 33x36. Unlike my 666 s 21 in same tag size I'm finding my 633's to be a decent amount bigger in the waist and looking to shrink them up a bit. To date I only have 25 wears on them so not in a hurry to wash but looking for more advice on shrinking them some.

RE: Fit checkposted in General Chat
Hello. Hope this is ok..wanted to get some feedback on how these IH 633's in 21 oz look to the group. I just picked them up in Austin to "replace" my recently purchased 666's. The 666's are a little too constricting in the top block for every day wear and I want to abuse these jeans. I tried the 888's but not for me.
These are really comfortable! I need to get them hemmed but was short on time and did not want to rush it.
These are tag 33, I could get into the 32's but besides the waist being a little tight they felt tight all over and I was gun shy after my 666 experience. Appreciate the feedback.

@goosehd thx for the reply. I'm good w the weight of them but simple tasks like getting on my towny bike are about impossible in these! I'm thinking I need to try 888's or something w a higher rise and more room in the mid section.

@tody small pocket knife on the right & money clip on the left. I don't believe that's the issue but I really appreciate you taking a look!

RE: IH-666S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigoposted in Bottoms
Hello. I have around 25 wears on my first pair of IH, first pair of Selvedge denim ever! I went w the 666s-21 that I picked up from Rivet & Hide while on holiday in London. While I do love them I'm finding the crotch area to be constricting especially when I squat down to pick something up or get into and out of my car etc. while it's not a deal breaker I will admit it deters me from wearing them as often as I'd like.
So..do I just need to suck it up and continue to beat them into submission or is this just life for my future w these jeans.
I'm considering a lighter weight for the summer months as my second pair..should I consider a different cut? Like the 888?
I appreciate some feedback on the fit based on pictures and the communities knowledge.
Lastly, I have not washed these yet.
Thanks!!
