Sadly, the trip is now off. Due to fly today but my mum got admitted to hospital last night. She is very ill and we just couldn’t go. A total bummer but we are planning to go back to Nashville next year (fingers crossed).

Here’s hoping that my mum’s health improves but thanks again everyone for their suggestions.

Any recommendations re: clothing/boots/hats stores. Food wise - as I am taking the kids - steak, pancakes/breakfast and pretty traditional Southern US fare. Nothing too exotic.

The Mortician - documentary about dodgy mortuary practices in the US in 1980s - worth seeing. I got it on Sky in UK (HBO?).

What a perfect birthday present for me today: the announcement of a 21oz CPO. Here’s hoping that it will be ready for my next birthday.

Have just started watching Department Q on Netflix. The main character sports a killer Shearling jacket. So I vote for a Shearling coat/jacket.

Today is a great day. Aim next season is now to make sure that we don’t take the lowest points tally from Derby. FTM.

@DeeDee85 - this made me laugh. I am thinking exactly the same. Have the untucked and don’t need this but there again I do. Add it to my stash of ‘I have had this for years’ gear that my wife doesn’t know about which I will just start wearing one day.
