Update! Both knees were in dire need of some attention, so this is the result. It’s getting colder again here in Denmark, so these will be back to being my daily drivers shortly. Hopefully they’ll last me another season!

No more lined back pockets. I thought that all Iron Heart jeans had those?

I also just committed to a pair after wearing a pair of 666 21oz od hard for the last two and a half years!

Update: 500 wear days!!!

I’ve done some much needed sashiko repairs since my last update.

These are still my daily drivers and I have worn them for well over 500 days in the last one and a half year.

I bike a lot and it is taking its toll on the denim as you can see! I’ll see how far I can take them, but there is new tears forming in several places that needs taking care of. I’ll better get to work!! 🪡🪡🪡

They start out quite soft. I think the overdying process takes out the “new and stiff” feeling of the fabric.
I love IHs overdyed fabrics!

@Ikeaparty agree - it’s so cool. But I’m in such a debate with myself since I really like the look of a faded denim collar. So is it this or a classic CPO without the corduroy?

Iron Heart 666 21oz od + IH-526J-142OD - 14oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III - Overdyed Indigo

One year anniversary for the 666 ods!

In two days I will have owned these jeans for one year. Bought them in Berlin I October last year and wore them daily for seven months straight before the first wash.

I aired them out frequently and spot cleaned when needed.

Over the summer I’ve mostly been wearing shorts but now I’ve been back in them for a couple of months. So all in all I think these have seen around 9 months of every day wear.

I bike for at least half an hour every day and often more so the seat area gets beat up quite a lot.

Recently I did a sashiko repair along the edge of the right back pocket. It’s where I keep my phone most of the time. And combined with my biking habits a tear was beginning to form.

Hope you like my progress. And I can’t wait to see how they look same time next year!!

@DeeDee85 thanks man! Definitely fun to stick to one pair of jeans for six months and see the results!

Hang in there! People say these are a slow fader, but I’m quite surprised at the amount of fading I achieved in just six months with every day wear.
