@ARNC You are wandering on the traces of the Big Easy. Sparkling in the MRMF beautifully,
Voodoo Chicken and Bach, but how about the acrobats? -

Rotting Apples Unite - Scarred
Could be a band name, presenting their debut album.
But it’s the title of my 17’ daughters three months art project.
Here own goal was:
Picturing the real carved apple at different stages and replicate him in nearly size and shape dramatically altered afterwards.
Luckily I was invited to take a little part ;;-).She shot hundreds of pictures and time-laps films for documentary.
This are the last pictured versions of the sculptured ones.

The Congos - Heart of the Congos 1977Thought about this …
"jazz cigarettes" situation of middle aged men, family, dub music and if there is something in it for all of them.
This 40th anniversary edition seems to have it.
Recorded at the Black Ark Studios in 1977, here presented in the modified version (Cows and sounds added by Perry) of 1978.
Can be easily played at day time and to the family.
Beginning with side four, the extra material from Lee “Scratch” Perry provides the Dub for the evening hours.
Sorry if I bothered someone, editing this post more than once.
Short chat with the founder of this thread made me realize, something is missing…Glad about this green inner sleeves.

For or @endo @GraemeE
and everyone else who likes this Wax Treasure thread.Love to hear them in this order.

Definitely a rabbit hole.
Started on 7” B-Sides in the 70’. Full 12’’ from Jamaican producers in the late 70’ and 80’, who influenced a lot of genres and all this later dub to come.
Punk (Clash), PostPunk (Public Image Ltd.), Drum and Bass (Massive Attack). There was even Dub-Techno and more.
Two staples to me are Scientist who radiates until today and Mad Professor without DnB wouldn’t sound like it does. -

Picked this up a while back and decided to give it a try. Have never owned anything Barbour but I think it was originally waxed. None left on it now though. Very light (motorcycle?)jacket.Hi @Chibs, perhaps this thread is interesting for you at the moment.

Lee “Scratch” Perry and the Upsetters - Return of the Super Ape
Trojan Music on Vinyl re-release 2022@GraemeE :
…revolution dub from 1975.
Was that before or after the studio fire ?Before!
His first studio fire was around 1979. It happened again with his Swiss studio in 2015.
The record above is his last but one in his Jamaican studio. The cover speaks fore itself ;-).
Was searching for his one year older but prettier sibling The Upsetters - Superape.

Found some in HH, but could have bought an IHT for the price instead …(ended up doing exactly that). -

Was searching for some Lee Scratch Perry.
Everything I found was recorded after he set his Black Arc Studio on fire.
Not only the studio was missing to him afterwards ;-).
By the way, second hand vinyl prices in Hamburg are astronomical. -

Vinyl meet up and release party of the 684 in Hamburg today.
Planned with @Tago-Mago a short tour through some Vinyl shops. We totally forgot RSD so it was overcrowded at the hot spots.

But beautiful on the side roads. This is the Pure Soul Record Shop for example.

And yes, some beers with @endo and a lot of more beautiful people included!

We talked about you @GraemeE -
