Some details on my 555XHSib at the 500 wears mark:

A much loved shirt, 6 years, many wears and some washes onward...

Does what I was wearing in October 2022, according to Google Streetview, count?
I haven't looked or posted here on WAYWT in ages--sorry. But feeling bored, I was playing with Google Streetview, and remembered seeing one of their cars when I was biking around with my kid some time ago. So I found myself on Streetview, and just had to share with the Forum.
Pretty sure I'm wearing the lefty trucker, IH-825-IND, and Custom Wescos.
Fresh after a wash:

@Giles neat! Whenabouts was XHS introduced? And what does VMC stand for?
@bilos2511 The 21oz denim is much more supple and breathable than the 25 XHSib, which is thick and crunchy and not particularly breathable. I usually put away my 25 XHSib for the warmer months, but my 21 oz I wear throughout the year. I find them even more breathable and more comfortable on warmer days than my 14 oz bb.
Same here! I keep checking every Re-loved restock to see if there's one on offer... so far no luck.
@meatmarketdenim1 Merry Christmas, man! What with the anticipated shrinkage, I agree the L is the right choice. Going to look great!
@Carlito if you want to get all the shrinkage out you could try a hotter wash, like 40 degrees C. However, the waist will inevitably stretch back out again... There's really only one way to find out if it's going to work or not and that's wearing them a lot.
If it's any help, I wear the same size as you in the 5
55XHSib, and I didn't have a hard time breaking in my pair either after the initial soak. And I'm still happy with my fit.
For reference, here's what mine looked like on day 1:

@Carlito that looks like a great fit to me. Congrats!
If you machine-washed for an hour at 30 degrees, you'll have taken out a good part of the shrinkage. A second and third wash may lead to some extra shrinkage, especially if you use a higher temperature, but nothing spectacular I'd say.
When you wear them, the waist will stretch back to roughly pre-soak measurements.
What exactly are you concerned about? That they'll stretch back too much or not enough?
@Aetas thanks! Glad to hear others enjoy this too!
@Mizmazzle thanks! The jeans get about a 100-125 wears per year and the flannel shirt about 25. Less sure about the jacket, but probably somewhere between 50 and 100.
Thanks @JunkPants @goosehd! Hope to post another update again next year.
@jerkules yeah I think I have high metabolism? My size in clothes hasn't really changed since I was 17 or so...
Sadly, it's not just the clothes that are fading...
