Haven’t bought a pair of black jeans since my teenage years, some ages ago, definitely needed a pair. After waiting for these to drop all spring and summer, when they finally did. I didn’t have the funds to get them anymore…..thanks life, haha……but now I do so I managed to grab a pair from @guiltyparty Top notch customer service, found me a pair that was hitting the numbers I was after and they fit perfect. Little bit slimmer than my indigo 21oz 555s, which is exactly what I was after! Thanks Guilty Party crew.

Couple of quick pics before these get posted off to @JoshC for repairs. About 150 wears in at this point, what a denim the 21 SBG is.

@don_pipone yeah man. This is why I prefer tonal arcs. You can make them really pop by fading the surrounding fabric

@beef_bonanza yeah, that's what I love about them too. Unfortunately I can't wear 555s anymore (fit-wise) and there are no indigo 777s with tonal arcs 😢

@chillmonroe Usually the arcs on the back pockets are stitched in a different coloured yarn than the denim (contrast). The black denims and the original 555 21oz have them in the same colour making them tonal.

@don_pipone I would not go for 555 on new jeans either anymore. However, I have to cope with them as they are not totally worn out yet. 10 years ago when I bought them, they could not be skinny enough. Now I have to pay the bill:-)
And somehow especially on black jeans I still like the slim cut for a change. Certainly not for everyday

@don_pipone What about just removing arcs? At least brand new they look quite similar. But not sure how they fade.

See here, thought these were tonal arc at first.

@moskiitto the point, @beef_bonanza and I were referring to is that tonal arcs, whilst „invisible“ in the beginning, will reveal and become more prominent over time, as the dye of the surrounding denim is fading away slowly. Basically, you start with „no“ arcs but end up with. That specific look is what we and probably others are after.
