@jordanscollected That is an amzing vest, I might even be happy just with that, and I believe its still in the outlet. But all of a sudden I have an intense craving for a full on N1 jacket!!! Idk if anything will quench it. I would probably get the indigo version, barring any old faded black versions coming along. The older ones are 100% alpaca, Idk know if tht make that mush of a difference, warmth wise, but it sure is cool. Thanks though again for looking out.

They are not. The N-1’s have never been 100% alpaca lined.
This was an unfortunate «lost in translation» moment way back when, that has persisted. After quite a few years the error was discovered and corrected on the blurb for newer models. However people saw the correction and assumed it was a change. The myth doesn’t want to die.
They have always been the same wool/alpaca mix they are now.

40 degrees in MN today, when we normally hover around 10-15 or colder in mid-January. I went on a walk and the vest was too hot once my engine was warmed up. You could say there was no need to Al"pack"a extra layer.
