@Seul having cranked out the dietary values for my home-made baked beans and the bought alternative, there doesn't seem to be any great health advantages either way. There's a bit less protein and a bit more fat, and I suspect a little less salt and refined sugar in mine, but not enough to lose sleep over.
I like to prepare beans from scratch, but I'm not sure if there's any real need. The soybeans I used (not a traditional component of baked beans) required an overnight soak, and then three hours cooking. I suspect tinned beans would have shortened the process somewhat.

My girlfriend made me a hat for my birthday. She know how much I like Japanese stuff, so the yarn she used is extra awesome.
I sewed this Doom patch on it. The hat is really slubby and super silky and soft. It also adequately fits my massive head.

Can't pretend I was a huge Motörhead fan, I bought Ace of Spades but that was all.
But simply for who Lemmy was and what he represented and influenced it is a sad day for music.
