Probably.  It's always listed on those "Places To Go In Portland" lists, and they have the Tex-Ass Challenge, a monster donut that you can get for free if you can eat it in 80 seconds or less.  Seems like the kind of place that Food TV, the Travel Channel, etc. would love.

Just had some really boring doughnuts from around the corner here in Berlin, and those voodoo things look A LOT more inviting and MUCH more original. Really love their sense of humour visible in several of their names and "designs". Too bad they're a tad far away…

So after about 6 months of employment at the University (on the lowest rung of pay for a staff member), it was confirmed today by the Director of my department that I'll be transitioning into a new position.  I've been getting trained on it for a few weeks but left in the dark about whether or not I would assume those responsibilities for the long term.

This will bump me up three salary bands and while it still is considered low pay by most, it will be the most I've ever made in my strange life.  It feels amazing to actually be recognized and rewarded by the company you work for, and in such short time.  My risks are starting to pay off, and my struggles are quickly starting to evaporate.  Guess I didn't fuck too many things up
