Wearing this jacket for the first time this season. It pairs heavenly with an UHF underneath, perfect for layering. My classroom is cold enough to wear it indoors too. My goal is to wear it once a week, mainly Fridays. It still smells wonderful. It creaks and groans when I sit and move slightly. I love this jacket and am SO glad I didn't try to sell it harder.

@pechelman My wife kept asking me are you sure you want to sell that? Plus, I thought that this jacket was a little too wide before I noticed that all of my jackets are wide in the back (when they are unbuttoned). I'm just a tall and mostly lanky dude, so that is how jackets tend to fit me. If I were to wear them closer in, I tend to not be able to button them. I like buttoning jackets a lot. Further, after not wearing this for a while I realized now that it fits just as well, if not better than my 140IG that I use now as a baseline fit. I tend to overthink things, then overthink that I am overthinking, and the cycle continues. I do have moments of clarity at times too though.

@Mister_Brue Yeah, I am trying to have a bit more of a rotation instead of only wearing the same clothes all of the time. While the latter yields faster results, I have too many nice pieces to not wear them.

@Mister_Brue my main tops are the 140 and Big Buck. Usually do every other day or two days.

It’s a stunning jacket Stevie, and the fit is truly great for you. I know about the overthinking demons that can accrue. I think we all have them at some degree.

It happens when I convince myself it's too good to be true. I was admiring the jacket last night and my wife again said, aren't you glad you didn't sell it?

I have Mustang Paste on the way for my jacket. I noticed some areas that are visibly dry. I have not treated this thing at all yet.
For those in the know: any tips with the MP? A nice, even coat I assume, not too thick or thin. May take some time to figure that out...does the leather darken right away? I am nervous and excited about this as I love the color of the leather as it is, but know the MP will bring out golden hues. That sounds wonderful. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. @Mizmazzle

@indigostiff I appreciate that. I'm ready for my jacket to darken. I have had this plan in mind since I originally purchased it. I wanted to rock it untreated for as long as possible. Now that the leather looks like ashy skin, it's time. I'm all for it. Kind of like a new jacket afterwards.

@Oaktavia yeah. I’d say if you’ve waited as long as you could possibly wait to condition then go for it. Kinda wish I didn’t treat mine sometimes. But also I remember being ready too when I actually did, but it was a lot sooner than you’ve waited.
A nice light even layer is all ya need. I put it on with my fingers and massaged it in. I used about 3/4 of the jar to complete my jacket. You’re gonna be amazed at how this MP just soaks right in to that leather.
In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

I bought my jacket nearly three years ago, so it's overdue.
Kinda wish I didn’t treat mine sometimes.
As in waited longer to treat it? Or not treated it all? They have to be treated at some point though. Otherwise they won't last and will look like an old forgotten jacket in a thrift store or attic. Maybe that's the idea...
But also I remember being ready too when I actually did, but it was a lot sooner than you’ve waited.
I think I likely waited too long but hopefully it'll be OK.

@Oaktavia oh 100% dude. You know when it’s time it’s time. I think that the orangish hue it takes on after treating it is something that I wish had more of a caramel brownish tint. I think I mostly wonder if I’d waited longer and let it untreated if it would have gone more that way. Or it may just be the way this leather is that it will take on that peach / orange tone.
