I wear my Engineer boots on most of my days off from September-May, and I don't own a motorcycle, I'm not an engineer, or a welder.  I am a dude that likes comfy boots. My friend Steve put it best when he described Engineer Boots as "Chillin' boots", and that's how I really view them. On my days off when I can't be bothered with laces, or tightly fitting footwear, or when I just want something really comfortable, I reach for my Engineer Boots. They're great for traveling because I can walk 8 miles a day with them with zero issues, and they're like your favorite pair of jeans. They fit just right, they're super comfortable, and they're like an old friend.

That said, I do consider certain moto jackets to be too "moto" for me to wear, so I can't claim to not understand somewhat where Ben is coming from. For whatever reason I just don't feel that way about engineers.

        Think it, be it.

Exactly what I think of mine, once I've got them on. Always a shame to take them off.

                  ^ So great 😉

Ben–Those John Lofgren boots looked great on you. Would be great boots for you IMO.

Wonder if you could give me some help on a pair of jeans. I want a pair for work and these are going to get smashed and may even catch on fire. I am a boilermaker/ welder/ fabricator depending where you live. My current steel feathers don't give me much movement maybe the weight and cut, but I need to be able to climb ladders, climb over things, kneel down and what other ridiculous position I need to make my self fit to get the job done, something my other jeans won't let me do easy. I currently wear normal cotton drill work pants. Cheers

Maybe you could ask IH to make 634S-FR.  (flame resistant)

I say get a pair of IH coveralls  (805, 806, 812 & I'm pretty sure I'm still missing one) & give them hell

Just found out my current cotton drill are 310 gsm around 9 oz. So maybe the triple work 634 15oz. Otherwise I will cook my self when it gets to 30 c

Is neitenhosen no longer an active member? Tried searching members to contact him but not seeing him… Anyway, if anyone would be kind enough to perhaps point me in the direction to get a hold of him I would appreciate it. Interested in having a few shirts made if he is still doing this..thanks
