I tried to deal with them once, but their website pretty much had the same effect on me, and their shipping prices are ridiculous.

see they are in nj so the shipping to me was no issue, shipping to the uk is an issue for many vendors stateside

I bought one of the Stevenson silk watch caps and it just doesn't compare to my BR X William Gibson, so I really want to hunt down the other BRs… I'll do what it takes.

Call and ask the woman who answers if you can talk directly to Charles. He's nice, helpful, and knows his stuff. I bought a BR jacket from them and he physically measured the thing for me while I was on the phone. Great service.

Now I have my own question….
I have tried twice to buy stuff via Rakuten....both times I purchased the item, got a confirmation email, which I put in Google Translation, and followed directions. The first  time I had to send a confirmation email, which I did. The second was just the store's confirmation. This was 2 different stores, 2 different items....

Both times, within a couple days I got a notice that the order had been cancelled. Once w/no explanation; the other time for lack of payment....

What am I doing wrong?  Thanks to anyone who can guide me through....

Which stores?  I had an order once that had a similar issue- I got a confirmation email and thought I was good, but I missed a line that told me to send payment to a different Paypal address.  Luckily, I figured it out before they canceled my order.

Chris, I have my AmEx card as part of the Rakuten sign-in, I figured that was how I paid. But maybe that's wrong, 'cause nothing landed on it. Maybe I missed a line as you said, and the store requires paypal payment or some such direct.
