@Alex Thanks, Alex - still the interest is genuine.
I believe I have seen the templates with which each individual piece is cut out of the larger piece of fabric. And I always admire the meticulous matching of the lines and patterns when pieced together - the 401/402 are great examples for that.

But how does it go from there? When do which pieces get sewn on, when are the holes for the buttons cut, when are the buttons attached?

You're testing my memory somewhat here mate... Individual panels are cut in 'bulk' from lots of sheets of fabric, sleeves, plackets etc etc. The order that they are then assembled in, and at what stage the buttonholing takes place I cannot recall.

I think this would be great material for a behind the scenes video - if it does not reveal to much confidential stuff 🙂

I agree, we have tried several times but never managed to properly capture the process as we want! We'll keep trying...

And, bringing it back to my shirt - could it be two mismatched front sides, one for XXL, one for XXXL? Meaning that there is a mirror shirt of mine, having it the other way round?

      At a guess, yes..

@Matt you had, what appeared to be, uneven front panels on the dobby cpo you got a few months back?

Found this '10th Anniversary' Wabash shirt on eBay. Curious to know if it's different to the original in any ways other than the added tag?

@T4920 Looks the same to me, and I've just had a look at a few other examples online. Can't imagine they'd deviate from the regular construction but can't confirm 100%. @Giles may rememeber?

Hi everyone. I would appreciate your opinions on a fit check for my new 21oz type III. I am hesitating between 2 sizes. One is a large and the second is a medium.

The large feels a little too big and the medium is very snug. From my reading it seems like the medium will not stretch and give me a little more room? Otherwise I thought of doing a warm water soak on the large and getting a little shrink if that's a thing?

The first two pictures are the large. You can see the difference in the length of the two and where it ends on my waist vs. lower on the large.

Sorry for the face erase but I'm a private person, hope it doesn't come across the wrong way!

                    It's not

You need to decide how you will wear it and with what underneath. Neither look bad, but I personally prefer a snug fit on a TIII

                      @Giles Thanks!

I was under the impression that a warm to hot water soak would result in some shrinking. If that's not the case then I would choose the smaller size as I agree on the snug fit.

From other posts I have read, some mention that it does have a little "give" in areas of tension..is this a consideration?

@T4920 Agreed. It feels snug and I won't be able to layer anything thick underneath but I think that's a trade off I'm willing to take to achieve the desired look. I'm also hoping that it does have some "give" over time as I wear it but that seems uncertain and I have read contradicting posts on the subject.

@nwills my IH T3 is almost skin type when buttoned up, but I can fit thick layers underneath it if I leave it open.

It'll definitely stretch a little, and yeah having a closer full of expensive gear is the best incentive to get/stay in shape!

                                        Hi,

I am new to wearing this type of denim and I must admit it is the best I’ve ever owned!

Having said that I just purchased the 21oz type 3 denim jacket and it feels like I’m wearing something made of cardboard. My girlfriend calls it my bullet proof vest.

Can I expect this thing to soften up? Will it be a long process? Sitting in it is difficult since it barely folds. While standing not so much of a problem.

What can I do to help the process…obviously wearing it often seems like one thing but any other pointers?

21oz breaks in nicely and softens a lot. Keep at it and it’ll be worth it. One trick is to give it a soak and wear it for a few minutes while damp to set some creases. Not needed, but I like it to help remove any remaining shrink and form it to my body. After that, wear as much as possible without washing!
