Check your settings. There’s an option to cross off for that which may have been unchecked by accident.

I am having the exact same problem. I haven't gotten a forum email in a month. Something is definitely broken.

Edit: I have a tendency to exaggerate… The last one was June 28th. But they come in sporadic and not instantaneously like before.

Rit dye would be good if you want a charcoal grey vintage black color… You have to use a ton of salt and boil the fuck out of it to get any decent results...

Procion MX dye will get you an actual back color. But you must use 1 lb of sodium carbonate to 4oz of dye to about 3 gallons of water to achieve the best results and you should use either Dawn or Synthrapol to prewash first...

Filthy speaks the truth. Procion dyes are far better than Rit or anything else I've seen. I used to sell art supplies and I've seen the best dye jobs using Procion. Bold and colorfast.

Awesome @Filthy @Palmer just the two dudes I needed to hear from. Not sure which approach I will go for…I don't mind a vintage grey though the raven black sounds appealing as well.  Caw!

I bought IR jeans and flannel with the sale. I was just curious what detergent products do you specifically use for IR jeans and IR flannels for laundry? I honestly don't want to soak anything in the bathtub, looking at some YT videos people take this too far. I prefer the washing machine with detergent. Also anyone here puts any products on the leather patch? If so what product and how often?

                                Thanks!

                                      Wash n hang dry=patch treatment.

*note. My version of wash is to soak with woolite dark in home depot or lowes bucket ~45 min/1hr. Then hang and hose down all the soap out then leave to dry.

I machine wash at 40C/800rpm and hang dry, using regular powder detergent. One pair of jeans at a time when new, multiple pairs when old and worn. New pairs also get thoroughly soaked with the shower head before washing.

All the same for shirts, except I’ll go down to 30C on UHF’s or other shirts prone to shrinkage if I want to maintain the original size.

As for frequency, when they smell bad or are visibly dirty are my two guiding lights.

I intend to oil patches the first couple of washes, but I often forget. I often don’t care. I use whatever Ingvar to hand. Normally boot treatment from Wesco’s, mink oil, olive oil, Chamberlains. Whatever keeps them supple and counteracts the water.

Causing damage was actually the main reason I asked which products/frequency. I hope to get 3-4 years of wear from the jeans and shirts with proper care. I figure will give IR a try, if the live up to the longevity with care I'd probably switch over my wardrobe to IR.
