This question must have been addressed previously, but I haven't been able to find the answer and can't help wondering: what exactly is the treatment that the 21 oz denim receives to delay fading? And is this an IH-specific process, or is it more commonly used in the industry?

To my knowledge, it's a process Haraki designed and he has no intention of ever sharing the specifics.
