^ Interesting. Brits aren’t that obvious about it. I think we’ve mastered the art of looking beyond the face or at the mouth or nose so it’s not evasive but isn’t direct eye contact. The eye content scared the shit out of me when I moved to Norway, felt like everyone either wanted to sleep with me or punch me…

eye contact, or the lack thereof, doesn't bother me that much. I think, too, it depends on the situation. If you're in a casual setting then it's not that big a deal, but in a business setting it can come off as disrespectful if the person you're talking to isn't engaged in the conversation and not looking at you imho. It's similar when you're talking to children. My son, who is 4.5 yo, yells at me if he doesn't have my undivided attention, so I try to make an effort to be engaged and listen to him when he speaks.

Likewise with handshakes. Here in the US, a firm handshake is customary when meeting someone for the first time. But sometimes guys will squeeze the sh*t out of your hands like it's a competition. Firm is good but limp-wristed is not  😃

Well said. In my line of work eye contact is a must (serving/bartending) and I am unnerved by it at times. Here in the states the amount of eye contact varies from situation to situation. But I do notice that when talking with Northern Europeans. Swedes, Norwegians etc there is an intensity in the eye contact. And I always look away…  can’t hack it

        Maybe so. Maybe not

Funny you say that, in the US prison system eye contact means one of two things….we are going to fight or we are are going to f@#!

I'm big on eye contact though.  I think a lot of it is a personal thing too.

This is why I never joined the military. That and I have a habit of laughing when people are yelling at me…

I bet your wife loves that when she's mad and yelling at you.

I make strong eye contact… To the point that in Basic Training, one of my Drill Sergeants told me to not look him in the eyes anymore, because he felt like I was challenging him.

It's very intentional with me though. I do it to establish dominance, lol

So I know that the SB denim is reactive dyed and not supposed to fade, but does anyone have photos of a well worn pair to see if they do fade at all?
I checked the fits and fades gallery, didn't see anything but I haven't dug very deep yet.
I'm interested in the new 888SB that are in the pipeline (albeit they are a slightly different denim, but same concept), but I'm just curious what to expect.
I would prefer the SBG denim but the 888 cut is really nice so I might grab a pair of these.
