HAYIT - How Are You Isolating Today.
-
@Chap
That working length is spot on. -
As of yet, my office continues in normal operations mode, so I am safely tucked away in my office. However, my children's Spring Break has been extended a week, and so my wife, who has worked from home for years, is now juggling them and her job. It has not been a relaxing time for her.
If I suddenly stop posting, it will be because I said something unusually stupid to her and she finally offed me.

Isolation fun on this thread as a spot of light relief… for example:
I call this «Cake baking in a time of Corona»:

I'm offshore at through the end of the month so I'm isolating as much as possible in my tiny office. It's not much but at least I can lay low and avoid other workers as much as possible. Most meetings have been cancelled to avoid crowding in small spaces and they've enacted a screening protocol for all people headed offshore.

My work station looks quite sad…
Danni is also working from home and has shotgunned the front room so I am confined to our dining room which before we decorate, has been fondly nicknamed "the dumping ground". I have a children's toy to keep me entertained and have manage to refrain from opening the rum globe. I also have plenty of unhealthy snacks to keep me going. I am definitely missing the office and the crew but mostly missing the Morrisons caramel shortcake bites!

Had to up my screen game after @Clint_D 's post.
@neph93 Sounds like a Smith's song
I truly hope everyone is ok on your squad. It really hasn't sunken in for me over here as everything still seems to be going on like normal in Petersfield including the 20 houses being built in my cul-de-sac, workers galore back and forth in front of my kitchen window in their trucks and dumpers. Not experiencing what others are yet is freaking me out a bit with the fear of not knowing. I even went to the shops a minute ago and didn't buy any loo roll even thou there was some right there for the taking!
@AdamC Look what I've got!!…...

@Omega:
neph93, I hope nothing serious relating to the flu/cold symptoms.
Almost certainly not, but thank you. Sore throat and short of breath, but it predates the official arrival of the virus in Norway at least, so I've had it for about 11 days. It isn't getting worse either. I suspect it is a seasonal virus, but if it is covid-19 I can't get tested as I don't meet national criteria and I'm isolated anyway. If it was covid-19 I'd be ecstatic as I will be one of the vast majority to have gotten off lightly, despite having a chronic lung disease.
Regarding cabin fever, we now have the little ones doing timed sprints through the living room. I'm not sure what good avoiding the virus will be if we have to go to A&E because someone turned an ankle on the hardwood floor
Home office…
@Clint_D I am loving all that exposed wiring/cabling.

I recommend buying a tushy toilet bidet attachment. Not a cleaner arse for a mile round here

My office is very telework friendly, so basically I've gone from working from home twice a week to five times a week. Not a huge change for me.
I don't get stir crazy at home, so this is welcome for me. I appreciate the extra time with my dogs.
When the govt shut down for five weeks Jody and I were home with the pups for five weeks straight. While many of my coworkers bemoan that time, we look back at it fondly, as it was not long after that we lost Hex to cancer.

This is where I've been working for the last few weeks.
It's looking tidy because I finished a contract on Friday, so had time to tidy it up. I'd offer to come around to organise @Madame Buttonfly's, but I probably wouldn't be able to get back home with the travel restrictions! :o

Yesterday I worked from home, today I'm in the office. I need to do some hardware testing.
