Coming up on two years of ownership. Worn just about every day for the first year. Picked back up this summer. Second wash has really softened the jeans up. Stubborn fader though.

Thinking about grabbing a pair of black 888s since I’ve been hitting leg day more consistently and my 777s are starting to feel a bit tight. I wear a 32 in the 777s and like my pants slim (not skinny), so I’m wondering if I should stick with the same size in the 888s or size down?

“Relaxed” isn’t usually my thing when it comes to fit, so just looking for some guidance from the IH Army—anyone with experience making the jump from 777 to 888?

@thread-and-steel yes. It’s totally worth it. As I’ve aged I’ve gotten heavier from both life and working out. I had the 777S-21 for a while and many other skinny cuts. I never had to look at the thigh measurements. Just the waist. Now there is today, I very much need the waist and thigh that works for my body type. The 888 is a similar to the 777 with the taper. You just get a bit more up top. This allows for a bit more range of motion and comfort. Hope this helps

@Fadez Thanks for the quick reply!

Did you stick with the same size in the 888s as you wear in the 777s?

Update at 41 wears. Made these my primary pair for now. I’ll probably do a first wash around 50 wears or so.
