IH-634-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo/Black
-
@Mizmazzle they are definitely slow faders but do eventually soften up! Wearing the pair I scored in Osaka back in 2023 now

-
@kojimastreets nice broski! Like the stage of evo yours are in....I may get hyper motivated and just go all in on mine....but damn if I don't love my 829s !!!
-
@Mizmazzle I think rotating two pairs is the best way to not get bored too early. Everytime I commit to a pair, I wear something else for a week sometimes to get the excitement up again for the main project

-
@kojimastreets for some reason I thought the XHSib jeans were only sold outside of Japan?
-
@Mizmazzle Agred like they take longer to soften, stretch and wear in than any of my others. Sleeping in them strangely worked to get them where I wanted but only after the first 7-10 weeks
-
@GoodtimeJohnny going in for a first “real” wash this weekend. Hoping the waist will stretch a bit easier post wash this time around.
-
@Mizmazzle I stupidly boiled mine to get more shrinkage out of it and completely destroyed the leather back patch then it took another soak the loosen again
-
@phoenixinflight definitely snagged them in Osaka. Maybe its the other cuts that are only available outside of Japan? Pretty much 634 or straight leg options when I was there.
-
@FlavourFade that’s a solid strategy. As I’ve matured, I enjoy wearing my older, broken in pairs so much, it seems silly to ignore them after I’ve bonded with them so much. So lately new pairs just go slower. All good in my book!
-
@kojimastreets interesting. I'll have a chat to the guys at the Nagoya shop when I'm there in a couple of weeks and see what the situation is.

@Giles said in There's no Such Thing as a Stupid Question:
You will have to compare the 2 sites. There is so much we do that is "International" only, many of which started off as exclusive to us, but Haraki has subsequently started selling in Japan.
Tagsize 35 and 44 (and possibly 42) not sold in Japan.
Some denims not sold in Japan.
Many denim shirts not sold in Japan
Many UHF's not sold in Japan.
Many CPO's not sold in Japan.
Some cuts of jeans not sold in Japan.
Many Type III's not sold in Japan
Etc, etc, etc....@Alex Can you add to the above as things may have changed since 2025 when this was posted. @phoenixinflight @kojimastreets maybe this will help you in your discussion.
