…Make the hood out of Ventile and give it a nickel zipper, and this would be practically perfect* = the field jacket for all time.
*I could live without the useless epaulettes, and snaps > Velcro
Does anyone know what these respective fabric weights are?

On the subject of complaints and first world problems, I actually have a decent pile of stuff to sell but the combined issues of not wanting to deal with covid related shipping problems and me being a lazy bugger are preventing me from getting it sorted. Had I done so a couple of weeks ago I may have been in a jacket buying position...

There you go, @neph93. That’s a great start. I’m waiting on a bonus of sorts that was supposed to arrive weeks ago.
On a side note, I’ve always hoped that I’d find a vintage one of these; however, I’ve found that there weren’t many pudgy soldiers back then. I suppose I’ll have to wait until this guy sells his clothes or hope my size is in stock when I can buy it.

Vintage m65 are very oversized! I have a Small/Long, and swim in my usual medium. I’ve had many of them over the years, and have this far convinced myself to save my IH budget for other things, but every time a new run happens I lust after Haraki’s version.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, @sabergirl. That could be true. I follow a couple of vintage traders on Instagram, and over the past few months they haven't posted something in my size. Maybe I'll look at Etsy or eBay.
