Anyone have any experience with NHS (or any other national HCPs) and IBS/gastro issues?

I went twice last year and they just did bloods to work out I'm not celiac? However, I've had a rough couple of weeks so have just rang to book an appointment. Clearly, I'm really nervous of the usual stuff (ulcers, various cancers, colitis) - is there any tests I can 'demand' or any reasons to give to refer me to some sort of gastro specialist? Just looking for thougths/opinions, in my experience and reading the NHS aren't very good at coping with gastro complaints.

        Help 😞

the gold standard to detect cancer and ulcer disease in the esophagus, stomach, and colon would be an upper and lower endoscopy, biopsies can be performed at the same time, small bowel not so simple but probably a ct enterography or a pill cam study. these are all expensive tests

Thanks Jaco - on the NHS they'll be free, however, I'm not sure whether 'demanding' treatment is the correct course of action!

So after a short discussion I have to provide 'samples' and more bloods.  😞

Haven't made it to the gym in two weeks on account of work. Feel like shit!  Deadline comes and goes today, can't wait to get back in there.

I dropped a 20 in our bedroom the other day.  Luckily, Julie hasn't noticed the black tinged divot in the carpet yet…

That 60 must have done some serious damage to the floor.

well i had bread because i had pretty serious stomach problems right after waking up (had the flu/shits and wasn´t able to keep anything in me for more than a few minutes!)…needed sth. to stuff my stomach with, so bread was the only thing i could think about that time! think it was because of having a strong cigar the evening before. not used to smoking one and i might took a too strong pull too many so that things kicked in in the morning 😉
feeling way better now...was a weird feeling having bread after almost 6weeks! ^^
