I picked up a pair at Brund yesterday. I have an obsession with khaki chinos - I wear them to work quite a lot, and have about four pairs in use already.

I sized up from my usual size 34, and the fit seems spot on. I’ll obviously need to get them hemmed, though.

First impression is that the fabric is very good - should last I lot longer than the other ones I have (all different brands). At the same time they aren’t a lot heavier, and they are definitely “smart” enough for my needs.

If they hold up as expected I could see IH chinos gradually replacing all the others.

So I’ve been using these for a few weeks now, and they live up to my expectations. Great chinos.

My only worry is that bicycling (which is how I get to work) seems to put a lot of strain on the crotch area. I guess it is inevitable given the tight fit and the lack of stretch in the fabric. I’ll probably wait before picking up another pair until I see if these blow up prematurely.

Unless of course they make a pair in burgundy. I’d buy those straight away.

Just bought these and I am looking at getting them taken up. Could anyone confirm if there is any shrinkage in the length after washing?

@m These are one washed, so the shrinkage is gone from the fabric so long as you follow our care guidelines. Where they are quite a narrow cut, you should expect some stacking around the knees that could lose you around 0.5" in length

Maybe a silly question, but how deep/comfortable are the pockets on those ? Really like the way arms are relaxed when your hands are in the pockets with chinos, but pockets needs to go down some for my liking

When you say robust, do you mean stiff as a cardboard or something else ?

I'd like to buy one true to size more or less......did you buy oversized ? How does it feel behind the knees when bending legs ?

@Slash I have had for about 2 weeks and worn perhaps 8 times.

The fabric is heavy, it starts stiff and so far has softened a little but stayed strong. I can't really describe it; all the chinos I have are soft but these are robust.

I terms of sizing - there is little or no stretch in them so went a size up from denim because of that. I feel they are more comfortable now than 2 weeks ago so there must have been some give. The 777 fit meant at first they felt tight on the upper leg when sat down but not so much now.

Knees feel fine, they do stack a as others said.

Obviously they are great but I may try some of the other fits if / when they come in so I have something more laid back. On the other hand I may buy other colors in these.

I have already some chinos that are laid back, and soft like you say in terms of fabric.

Those here might just hit the spot for me between more "classy" pants than denim with still some ruggedness in them.
