IH-526-ODG "Party Jacket Tour"

Last weekend we had the christening feast for our boy. It was a great weekend, lots of great food and much family hangouts plus: weather was great the last days, summer kicks in in full effect. The negative effect: the tour month for me is almost over and i‘ll pass the jacket over to @don_pipone who is next in line. Some impressions for you:
Party jacket in good company with the homies IH-526L & 3Sixteen Type :
Packed some essentials for the trip to the family base and visited a good friend who lives on the way home. We used to make party a lot during studies, now it‘ all about dadlife in full effect, feels great!
When we arrived at my parents place we started to make salads for the family BBQ, and made some cake. Don‘t forget to drink enough in the heat and hang out as much as possible in the garden

Part II
Wifeys Cousin is the most talented musician i know, our boy was fascinated. My brother joined the party with his son and wife and i prepared a BBQ for us. I love when the family comes together in the summer, quality time! Even better with some beers from my collection.
On Sunday we continued to celebrate at the church and continued to stuff ourself with great food. Only thing that i‘ll never understand is that the while family gets crazy with presents for the kids.
Bonus pics of the Tour jacket. It was a party. I had to take with me.

Sewing time - It may be much too warm for the jacket atm but nevertheless it makes me a bit sad to let it go…. Hope all of you who will get the jacket down the road will enjoy it as much as i did!

I owned this patch for years, always waiting for the right garment to sew it on. It was Constantin & Sascha from Vater & Sohn that sold me my first IH denim and a few days later my first UHF and lead me into well made stuff and convinced me that it's worth it to spend a bit more and have joy for years! Also the design is pretty cool for my taste, too @sabergirl

First of all props to @illo59 for how great this leg has been!
Today was my lucky day as I got visited by the postman. The eagle has landed in Munich! Thanks to @illo59 for the fast shipping.
I only know this jacket from pictures so I was very curious how it looks like in real life. I was not dissapointed. Damn, what a badass type 3 this is. The fit is spot on. I already know I need to get one myself after this leg.
It‘s summer time and pretty hot currently, so I‘m hoping to be able to give it some wear during the next weeks.
I will keep you updated.

My cousin is going to celebrate his 50th birthday next weekend. So there might be a chance to have one or two [emoji6].

I started my leg of the tour with a trip to Nordschwarzwald with my whole family this weekend, visiting my cousin for his 50th birthday.
We rented a small townhouse in Bad Wildbach, which is a small and absolutely lovely and idyllic town in the middle of the hills and woods, I can totally recommend to visit. It's absolutely perfect for hiking, biking or just relaxing.Party was on Saturday evening so we had some time for sightseeing during the day.
As expected it was way to warm to wear the jacket for this, so it had to stay home.
We took the rack railway up the Sommerberg, walked on the treetop walkway and went up the tower to enjoy the amazing view.

On our way back we came across the German E-Bike Championships where I took some action shots. It was quite fun.
On this day we walked about 11km. It was great to see my dad to walk it with an ease. He's 84. Great man!

Part 2
On the evening we finally went to the party. Time to rock the party jacket!
OK, to be honest, I immediately took the jacket off as we left the house. Still way too warm.My cousins friend brought his "tiny" grill. Beef and pork - in total 35 kg.

"Fortunately" there was a short thunder storm in the night and the temperatures went down quite a bit.
So jacket finally was worn for it's actual purpose = party!
Obviously I had a few beers too much, so I didn't party hard with the jacket. To be honest, I barely moved at all ::) -
