You can size down slightly in the 888 as they are worn higher on the hip, but I wouldn't recommend dropping down a tag.
I am afraid I grabbed a tag 33 off the shelf and put them on for that photo, did not measure and do not own so cannot really compare.
If it helps, the last pair of jeans I bought measured 32.7 brand new, and are on the comfortable side of tight pre-stretch.Thanks Alex, Judging by that a tag size 34" will be good. I have some Levis 501's which measure 34.5" post stretch and I can wear them but they aren't comfortable.
If I can get at least an inch of stretch out of the 34 tag then they should be great

IH-888S-OD will be restocked in all sizes in about 8-12 weeks. IH-634-XHSOD will not be restocked.

Looking at the site measurements, I’d suggest a tag 34 in the 888s.
Yeah, I think that sounds about right. My 36"s have a tiny bit of slack so even 35.5" might be alright. I think a tag size 33" might be risky, especially as I want them hemmed.

Where are you based? Always better safe than sorry with hemming, take them unhemmed then return for hemming after you know the fit is good. Or, I can tell you where to go locally…
I am based near Newcastle upon Tyne. You don't happen to know any one for hemming up here do you? I don't know anywhere I trust with them.
I did think about possibly ordering from you and if size was ok then sending them back to be hemmed. Only problem is that will add a good chunk of cost to what will already be easily the most expensive jeans I've ever bought!

I was thinking cost to send back to you around £7 then hemming cost £12 then postage back to me again maybe another £7.
Does the hemming cost of £12 include posting back to the customer?

While I totally understand that money wise your first pair if IH is a paradigm shift, after people make the jump they tend to wonder why they were worried.

It does not, but given it would be your first order and you are trying to work out sizing we would do the return shipping free on the first order, as were you to exchange we would do that anyway.

Yes it is a fair jump in price, I do feel like its going to be worth it though
