They are very roomy in the top block.. my only concern is that they are too wide.. when they are broken in..

The most important question is, are they returnable? If they are and you are uncomfortable in them, that's your best route. If you're stuck with them, they definitely look wearable.

They do look great as of now but if you feel they might end up being too big then try the next size down for comparison. The lighter denim should be easier to stretch than the heavy stuff. IMHO the 555 cut should be pretty snug at the beginning and then stretch to perfectness. I have two pairs I could barely button at the beginning, one month later I'm thinking I could've sized down pretty easily.

I would size down on those, they are a bit big….. they will stretch , it’s up how you and how you like wear then

I think you can expect a clear enlargement at the waist, maybe a full inch, but they are sanforized and one-washed, so they will come back exactly like now at the first wash. As they are they fit you very well.

After a lot of thinking I gave them a really hot soak and a  tumble dry. They shrinked a little more. now they are perfect for me  :). Many thanks for your help..
