          Not sure I want to shrink them in the waist just yet. Was more curious what kind of shrinkage I could expect with a cold soak as opposed to a hot soak. Don't really want to leave them raw

            best thing you could do is to leave them on while giving them a soak and wear´em till they´re dry. you won´t have problems buttoning them up afterwards and you also won´t let them shrink as much as they would if you wouldn´t wear them…just my 2cents though!

              "Raw DenimAlways soak before wearing, not only does this shrink the raw denim to tag size, it also beds in the constructional stitching, lessening the possibility of a stitching problem (e.g. crotch blowout).  Ideally soak for an hour or so in a bathtub or large sink of hot water and drip dry.  If you cannot drip dry, soak up the excess water with an old towel and lie flat on a clothes rack to dry."

                  To be more direct…

                  A hot/warm soak will give the 1 inch shrinkage in the waist as described on the purchase page

                  I was curious if someone had just done a cold soak and if so can I expect the same 1 inch or less shrinkage, or any at all

                    It will shrink. Probably not as much as a hot soak, though.

                    You could cold soak and stretch the waist manually whilst it's drying, or put it on while it's damp to stretch it quicker…

                      the fit was actually perfect pre-soak, so here´s what i did back then (coldsoak btw.):

                      @Finn666:

                      thanks mate 😉 and thanks BH  😘

                      oh and btw. since i didn´t want to shrink the waist during the soak, i had to be a bit innovative 😉

                      measured to my waistsize…

                      @Finn666:

                      Here are my measurements…

                      The presoak ones are almost the same as the sizingchart on the webpage is saying and are more accurate as the postsoak ones since I had to wear'em after the soak to stretch these out and since 23oz isn't nice to fuck with 😉

                      I'd guess you can take about 3cm from the waist-, 0.5cm from the thigh- and 0.1cm from the kneemeasurements (postsoak!) to know how these cane out of the tub, unworn!
                      And add 1-2 or a bit more centimeter to the inseam length (cuz of the combs and all that!)…

                          Cold soaked for an hour and a half, hung dried, still slightly damn, can't button the top button but still wearing them today

                          Bulging out a little at the knees but I'm sure that will go away as they settle

                                I'd give them a good hot soak or wash to shrink them up a little more.  They look good but I feel like the fit could tighten up a bit.

                                  I'd have to agree with the J-man. They look great, and the whole outfit is very smart (are those your new Buzz boots?), but a smidge tighter would be perfect.

                                      I've hot soaked them twice, as hot as the bathtub will go, guess I could try again

                                      They look good from the side but from the front they look big on me. They are still settling which is why I think they are bunching around the knees

                                      Gonna give them another soak and see what happens

                                      Yes, new Buzz boots, little large though I got 9.5UK and I'm a 10.5US. Might pop them up for sale if they don't feel right

                                            Not just soak, Give them hell in washing maschine…That'll agitate 'em enough to get rid of the shrinkage.
                                            And these are looser than 21oz...
