Idle curiosity: Why was this discontinued in 634 but will be made in 555?

The previous iterations were western only exclusives, so we were responsible for making numbers up to the minimum run. Retailers never bought into this denim, for whatever reason, so we could not rerun them. To run the 555SII is a Japanese decision and, we hope, that by adding tonal stitching to the western release of this will help sell more pairs.

how does the Indigo/Indigo 18oz denim compare to the normal 25oz?

I have a pair of the PIHXHS and they were pretty tough to break in - took 4 weeks before I could wear them all day and they still hurt a bit behind the knee when I'm riding my bike(admittedly it's a sports bike)

I'd say it depends on the cut: I've found the XHS to be way more comfortable than the SII. It can stretch where needed of course but it'll take some time. Nevertheless I'm looking forward to tame this beast of a denim again in my recently favourite cut.

They’re a part of the A/W season so earliest due date will be September. More than that I don’t know.
