Get the large and give it a warm wash. I think it will be perfect after a wash.

I should add that both are comfortable. Neither are constricting in any way.

        I like them both!

The trim fit of the M looks very sharp and this is how a Type III should fit. If both work for you, the M has definitely my vote.

The only thing wrong with the M is the length in my opinion, but that would also be a deal breaker for me. So the L looks best, and has the added bonus of flexibility as mentioned. For what it’s worth, I don’t think you lose that classic type III fit at all with the L.

I don't plan on layering with this jacket, just a t-shirt underneath, so I don't really need extra room, but it's such a great jacket that I almost want to hold onto both.  Due to the way the 2 sizes fit, it's almost like 2 different jackets.

The large does seem more practical because I could layer, or not, and the length makes it work with everything.

Regarding the length, the bottom of the jacket on the medium goes past my belt line but yeah, it took a bit for me to get used to the shorter type III length.

I'm going to sleep on it tonight and decide in the morning.

I did this with the OD M65, kept a L and an XL.

I received the replacement Black jacket sent from IHUK yesterday. Thanks Alex. I also received the Brown that I purchased from Scott, from reading this forum. I'm happy with both.

Yeah dude the large is a good fit, would probably be perfect after a warm wash! I'm wanting to do this with mine?

Has anyone giving it a wash yet?

I’ve always regretted getting a smaller size for a slimmer fit. It either shrinks in the wash or I gain weight. IMO a larger fit is the way to go!
