Anyone else planning on grabbing one of those upcoming Hopkins jackets? The green one looks so good with the brass buttons.
I’m thinking really hard about it. That olive/loden green is my ideal color for a wool coat. I actually really like the waxed canvas one with the wool lining, but I don’t want a black one. Still, I think I’ll be in the minority there - I’ve checked it out and it’s really nice in person. It’s something that I’ve been personally asking for (a lined Ramblin’ / Hopkins Jacket), but the green wool Hopkins caught my eye, and I can’t have em all.
I feel the same way. Not a huge fan of the black for myself but its a nice piece. Heavily considering getting the green wool one, just not sure if its practical with having 3 messy kids around hah
Lol, I have the same problem - 3 small kids with sticky fingers and runny noses. I know it's lame, but I wear my nice shirts to work and then I pull a Mr. Rogers when I get home and change into an old shirt or a hoodie. I actually have an old UHF that I bought from Brock and that's the only one I wear around my kids. I know, I'm lame.
I think that wool jacket would be a "weekday" item as well. In a few more years they'll be less sticky, but I'll have less money to buy nice jackets!
In the meantime I thunk I'm going to put a deposit on the Loden green wool Hopkins. -

I wish I could justify it, but I can't swing that one right now. I did handle it in person at the shop and it's amazing - the Mouton lining is so plush. I'm sure you're gonna love it. This time around I've been torn between too many good choices, but I think I'm going to grab the Olive Hopkins.

Yea I’ve been so excited about this thing. I was so bummed I missed out on them last year but I love this color way!
That Hopkins jacket is a serious piece of wearable art man.

I know I just posted the wills yesterday…. But I couldn’t help but jump on that green wool Hopkins. Anyone else grab one today? They’re still up for pre order
I couldn’t resist this one. I was lucky enough to be able to try on one of the old grey Hopkins in my size, and I was able to size down to a Large Tall (I normally need an XL in Ship John, but I’m kind of between sizes). I have wanted a new wool jacket for years and the olive is MY color.

I was able to grab one of the Ship John x Langlitz Wills jackets as well. Amazing build quality. Love the jacket but will be putting it up for sale on the forum in the coming days. The fit just isn’t what I had hoped. I’ll probably have to take quite a hit on it too but hopefully someone will get some use out of it. They are great jackets.

Sadly no it isn’t. Each jacket was customized with your name on the inside of the inside pocket so return isn’t possible. That’s another reason it may be a tough sell. At least it’s on the inside of the inside pocket. I thought if it doesn’t sell it may fit my dad and would make a great Christmas gift.

That sucks. I imagine it may sell better than you think, especially if it isn’t an extreme size.

Thanks. Hopefully it will. That’s the gamble I took and had to be prepared for it. XL long is about as extreme as you can get ha! It’s just a little too big for me but I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
