IH-526Lod - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo Overdyed Black
-
@FlavourFade - your take is spot on. The XXXL that I sold was really nice. But the chest and waist were too small - couldn’t really button them. Arms long (IH standard) which were great for me. Shoulders perfect (I have broader shoulders), and the length was a little longer than traditional T3 - which again, is what IH does to add pockets - and I love the look too. It’s an incredible jacket. Just didn’t fit my mid section all that well. But if you don’t have a gut, it could work. Check the measurements - as recommended for all pieces

I took my usual size L in this jacket but this definitely fits different. Longer torso and very slim fitting but probably my most flattering jacket as a result.

April is almost over. Any further updates on restock?
-
@grapefruit won't be too long now! ETA was "End April" always add a few weeks on to that!
-
@tody I know, that's going to be a tough one
-
@bluemantra well, there's still the variable that the od-process for the lefty is not yet clear (see an above post from graham).
and there's the fact that no one of the general public has seen the new selfedge denim yet.
i'm determined to get a type 3 this spring, i'm just not sure if calling in all kinds of favours to get the selfedge jacket to me is justified... -
@tody I was just reading in one of the self edge posts that all 17oz and up is the new direct OD method and lower weight is still sulfur OD method, but I know it's not certain this Lefty OD is the new or old method. If it is the old method I will buy the lefty OD. If it's the new method I will probably pass.
I can't to see more photos and get more details on the self edge collab. I'll be heading there in person to see them and will make a decision then.
-
@tody further to AJ's reply, Self Edge are in the driving seat for their collabs, we will not be posting any photos of those products unless they do first, I am afraid.
However, I would say that this and the SE collab are pretty different, texture wise theirs is closer to the SLB than the 19oz LHT

I have the same debate between the Self Edge and Lefty. I have a Lefty currently that I really like, it’s just quite a bit more snug in the chest and armpits than its non OD cousin (that I also have). I need to size up from my normal XL.
The idea that the Self Edge version is a more slubby material really appeals to me, I love my slubby 888’s. I hope and pray some more details are released on the Self Edge release before the Lefty restocks as I’m sure both of these are going to sell out.
-
@nrtphotos I'm with you. Based on Alex's comment regarding Slub I'm more inclined to wait for the SE. If we're not still waiting for both still lol. It seems like so much is dropping soon. Whatever soon is

I was chatting with the lady who embroidered the mechanics shirt for me. About putting IRON HEART on the back of my next jacket. Anyone have ideas to share via pics?

if one is the old school OD it will fly immediately.

I don't really understand although I did read Graham's comments previously.
What difference does the method of OD dying actually make to the Jacket in the long term !?
-
Any updates as to the ETA on this piece? Trying to decide if I should wait for this or pull the trigger on the SelfEdge collab next week.
Thank you️

Cheers. Thanks for that.
Certainly my 2 year old 14 OZ OD Type 3 has faded nicely with really light Indigo coming through on the arm crease sets in particular. ( likely the older type then).
Will post photos when next home. In the Alps at the momewnt with my Work.
