      Yes

        OK here it goes - I have a pair of 777s-142bb W:34 and I'm looking to get a pair of 777S-21oz - I was expecting that they'd line up to aW:34 as well - but it seems not - looks like a WW:33 is a better fit. I know the guide is to always look at the measurements and go with what is best...but I was surprised to see variability within a cut. So is variability within a cut (and within a material) expected? Thanks!

          Definitely. Using the size chart and not the waist size when looking at different materials in the same fit is the way to go.

            Agreed. I've got 3 pairs of 634s at the moment, and each fits a little differently. Some are 33, some are 34. I once tried the 634 in the natural indigo, and neither 33 nor 34 were big enough. Definitely varies, chart is the best way.

                          Here’s a noticing I’ve been kinda curious about;
                          Since getting into this heavy weight clothing game, I find myself wearing more/ heavier clothes like jackets and flannels during times of the year where, in the past, I’d have been wearing just a t shirt. I simply can’t wait to start wearing my gear when coming out of the summer months.

                          Is it psychosomatic, or do I now get cold easier than I used to? Is that a slight breeze I feel on a 70 degree day? Better grab the uhf and leather jacket!!!

                          In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

                            @Mizmazzle yup, same. Probably just conditioning and adaptation of your body to regulate its temperature control. Not weird unless you’re rockin uhf layers with winter jackets in the summer while everyone else is wearing shorts and tank tops lol

                                            @nickname Depends where it's too big/small. If you're having fit issues, the best way to find out what's is to do the old "measure your best fitting shirt" and adjust as taste/comfort dictates. Many of the cuts and sizes vary by piece, so always go by exact measurements, as specified here:
                                            https://www.ironheartamerica.com/content/how-we-measure/

                                            To add, the work shirt is a bit looser in the pits I think. yup.
