@Brandrea The 18oz has been my go to jeans for the past few years, however…I purchased the 16oz slubs last year and they are definitely the most breathable of the denims that I have tried from IH. I have not ventured into the 14oz yet, but would recommend either the 18oz and 16oz slubs from my experiences.

I have two pair of the 16oz SLB and I agree they seem like a breathable denim. Oddly, despite their “oz” weight, they seem heavier than my 21oz.

In my case what I’ve also noticed is the looser the cut (634 SLB) wear cooler than the slimmer (666 SLB).

Waiting for the 14oz broken twill to arrive tomorrow!

@Brandrea thank you and I’ll echo what @goosehd said. I wear them all summer…even in favor of the 777-142’s I have. I think they are more breathable than the 14 because of the weave. Can’t comment on the slubs cause I don’t have any but I think even Giles said they are the most breathable of all IH denim.

@Tago-Mago Hands down my favourite cut and denim. My single pair has been to IH once for repairs and this is a perfect opportunity to shelve one (or more) for when I’m old, grey, and senile…but then again, I’m 90% there

great summer jeans , had the 634 in 18oz and it was the best for summer from my experience. maybe this could be my new one for summer….

New size chart on these is just chef’s kiss seems the 666 thigh measurements have been going slightly larger which I’m happy about.

For some reason the sizing drops down one which lowers the rise and makes them look like a perfect fit for me. Anyone owned any vintage 18oz comment if you get leg twist please?
