IH-526L - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo

I left the clip there for a couple hours and it basically did nothing lol. I didn’t wet the denim before doing it so that’s probably why. I’m probably just going to let it rock the way it is, thanks for the recommendation though - if I end up really really wanting it then I’ll consider it.

What’s up fam!?
I recently purchased the new raw model from the IH website. Did anyone find the neck to be abnormally tight/ small prior to soak? Does it tighten up further?
The neck to my jacket ( when laying the jacket out - neck button to neck button) is about an inch shorter than any other garment I have in the same size so I was hoping someone else would have some information on this. I’m about to size up because of it although all the other measurements would be way too big. Thanks ! -
@worn2fade why not iron it? All mine are like that though
-
@Denimmacdaily Are you wearing it with the top button, buttoned?
-
@Denimmacdaily I almost feel wrong doing that haha. I’ll see if I care that much about it when time passes!
-
@worn2fade the reason I say that is because I see a lot of guys/ makers - iron the selvedge ID seams flat soooo why not ? lol
-
@ZackB no but I couldn’t if I wanted to pre-soak .. that’s what worries me. That it’ll look way too far apart when in buttoned lol vs my other pieces

@Jcaz6996 welp, that’s just some badassery developing right there dude. I’m a 5th grade teacher. Gonna have to start body slamming these kids to get that kind of fade action. Be good for my mental health too hahaha
Was reading through this thread for fun just like you had mentioned in here.
This comment was so funny, set me laughing my ass off haha.
And those fades currently, clearly the body slamming method worked

Day 39!
If you look a little close you can see vertical lines on the front of the jacket. This is due to my dog jumping on me and just dragging her damn paws on the jacket. I’ve learned to just embrace the suck lol.
-
@worn2fade looking good man. Shit happens but that makes it your own.
-
@ZackB thanks man
-
@worn2fade making it yours man. I get the concern but it's sort of awesome.
-
@worn2fade such a great fit here imo, wish I had any jacket that looked this good on me!
-
@CosmoSix5
For sure I agree! It probably doesn’t bother me too much because you really have to look to notice it. If it were really noticeable I’d be pretty pissed lol.@T4920
Thanks brother! Your comment really is music to my ears. If you check this thread out when I first got the jacket, I was pretty concerned about the sizing. This jacket is a true test of faith lol. After soak, washing & just letting the jacket conform - the process is pretty long so you don’t really know how well it’ll fit until you’re about at this point. I reckon to say there’s still probably another month of wear before it really sits how it’s supposed to. -
@worn2fade I have the OD version so never had to worry about shrinkage with mine, but I do overthink these things too!
Yeah I have no doubt it'll soften up and start to scrape better, but with this lefty denim it might take longer than expected ha.. be worth the wait though for sure.
