I remember the V1 edition of it had a considerable amount of shrinkage left in it and judging by the OD measurements you can squeeze quite a lot out of the new one as well with a harsh wash. Though, I doubt one can reach the same results with domestic washing methods. The product page estimates half an inch shrinkage which seems about right.
BTW I think the Crew simply didn't have the time to upload the 4XL measurements yet and they will follow ASAP.

My 666’s in the V2 haven’t shrunk. Only been machine washed on 40C though so a hot wash may do something more.

Not even in length? That's good to know as I intend to snag a 19L pair in the future (although there's always other stuff that's more important on my wishlist). This denim is very intriguing, though.

I don't know if I would be able to get that much shrinkage out of this…

There is very little shrinkage (if any) to be had in this denim. Whatever there is will be removed in the OD version because of the overdying process.

^^^^^ This.  I did 2 initial hot soaks and there was small amount of shrinkage.  I'd say like half a size.

Well, I was really unsure about getting a 3XL or a 4XL but I ordered a 4XL. The shoulders feel pretty big… What do you guys think? Should I exchange for a 3XL or do a super hot soak?

Hot soak or wear layers under like a hoody? Or UHF?

I would most likely only be wearing a t shirt and flannel or western shirt under this because I live in Arizona. I haven't soaked it yet because I'm not sure if I should try a 3XL.

Hot soak won’t take out enough. It’ll still be long in the body and arms even after it loses a cm or two.

Thanks fellas, I agree. I'm going to try the next size down. I can't believe how rugged this fabric is. Looking forward to the right fit!

Sized down one to my normal Iron Heart shirt size of 3XL. The fit is great. I'm pretty sure this is the last type 3 I'll ever need.

That worked out very nicely @Palmer ! In fact, the whole outfit is great.

I think it is a common error for people to compare type III measurements with shirt measurements then size up on the jacket, I know I did on my first type III.

You're not wrong!  😃 If they ever make a longer whipcord type 3 I'll probably grab it. Sometimes I'm glad I'm tall and have a long torso because it keeps me from buying one of everything.
