I think that’s the natural starting point. The copper works so well with the indigo. I’d be tempted to go for the heavy duty black snaps on the black version though, in lieu of the option of oversized silver coloured (nickel?) snaps.

For a custom Neph version though, I’m thinking very specifically of a black one with MOP snaps and some GA pimpery. I suspect the MOP would play well with silver/grey dots on the black wabash.

While I’m fantasising, I don’t know what the grey/silver buttons usual on IH-526j’s are made of, but the design of the oversized copper snaps finished in the same metal/colour would be great.

I'm either on a roll or on a ramble, but given that speccing new silver coloured snaps for an eventual black wabash CPO is unlikely to happen, oxidizing/aging the copper ones as to create the same effect as on the last round of IHSH-178's would be pretty ace. Not least when the black wabash is now showing wear straight out of the bag.

I agree with/get what you’re saying,but are we locked into having snaps? Is that a prerequisite for a CPO shirt? Even if they just spray painted some existing snaps silver they could get some general idea as to how it might look,and then proceed from there.

To clarify - the snaps will be the same as on all our CPO shirts, and can be upgraded per normal

Ha! It's funny because I always thought it was so cool that there was a pair of jeans named after someone, but I get a whole style of shirt as our resident Chief (well, Senior Chief now ).
