      I was asked for my opinion on this topic so here it is….

      I'm not a collector.  I'm not into stamps, coins, baseball cards, glass dolls, My Little Pony, or anything else that will clutter my apartment.  The main reason I buy Ironheart instead of comparable brands such as Flat Head and Sugar Cane is that it fits me the best.  I buy Ironheart instead of mass-market brands because of quality and design and because it's not made in a sweatshop.

      I don't mind if classics are re-released.  In fact, sometimes I'm upset I didn't wait longer because the second and third iterations are often better than the original.  The deck jacket is a classic example of this.  I know that it's impossible, but it would be great to know when Ironheart is planning to release a product with continuous improvements over several years.

      It's been proven that scarcity strongly influences decision making (read Influence: Science and Practice by Robert Cialdini if you are interested in this sort of thing).  This means it's smart business practice for Giles to label products as endangered.  I'm more likely to fill out "the form" or sit by my computer waiting for a product to go live if I know that only a few items are available.  But my motivation for buying something is that I like it for what it is, not because I want to complete my collection or show off to other members of the forum that I'm one of the few lucky ones to snag a rare item.

      Product that I would like to see re-issued: IHSH-61 (the military shirt).  Without the lettering, of course.

      Product that should have died a horrible death: IHSH-08.  I bought the second iteration of this shirt.  Soap gets stuck in the fabric and makes white streaks and lines.  I have to put it on the rinse cycle 4 times to get all the soap out.  Any type of abrasion (even from the gentle cycle of my washing machine) is visible.  And the tight fit in the armpits makes it necessary to wash this shirt more than usual.

        @Finn666:

        finally i came along to read the whole thread (which was created by @Chris btw.)

        Actually, Giles started it, then I combined a couple of earlier and relevant posts from another thread into it, which is why Finn's is first.

        I probably made things more confusing, to be honest…

          It is a problem when combining threads that sometimes the time-stamp defined merge alters screws up the actual logic of the thread…..

            @Giles:

            Looks like IHSH-16 in natural….

            @UnTucked:

            Either way… I think my pic and your pic prove that we need a white western in production, lol

            Ahem… If we're talking about bringing back classics, I vote for this one first.

              I agree with that 100%.  A revisited IHSH-16 would be fantastic.

                for all that matters, i´m cool with re-running "simple" shirts such as the IHSH-33, IHSH-44, IHSH-16, IHSH-27, IHSH-46, IHSH-66, IHSH-67, etc. …it´s just when it comes to flannels and those crazy cool patterns, i would love to leave them extinct when declaring extinct.

                  IHSH-33 it is one of the feckin staples of course we're going to rerun the thing….

                  And the 44 and 16 and 27 and 46 and 67, were/are declared extinct.

                    OK.  After a lot of consideration, this is where we are.

                    Firstly, this is Haraki's brand, he can do what the fuck he wants, how he wants and when he wants.  Would I have voted for a re-release of a red/black or green/black buffalo.  No I would not (because I think they're generally overdone and boring), but he decided he wanted to do it and frankly it is not up to me to say no.  Sometimes when I deem something to be really important, I'll "have a chat" with him, but when it comes to buffalo check, it simply is not important enough (in my opinion) to have the chat.  He's re-released the purple/black buffalo for later this year, I wish he had not but hey, shit happens and yes, I will stock them.

                    Will we continue to release Ombre's and Buffalo's?  You bet, but if the idea comes from me, it will be new colourways, but as I said above, H can do what he wants.

                    A point was made by someone in the thread above which touched me most, and I'll paraphrase.  "We don't need H churning out easy stuff, we need him to be sat in the corner with a very large spliff and told to get creative".

                    For the record though.  Why is it OK to release the IHM-04 and extinct it, then release the IHM-08 and extinct it and then the IHM-10 and extinct it?  They're all deck jackets but with continued (in our eyes) improvements.  To date, and please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think we have re-released a shirt that was exactly the same as a previous version…...

                              JUVENOIA….. What's "established" and what was before is inherently "better" because it's already proven.....

                              It's the same reason why we're in love with Michael Jordan, or " the golden era of body building" in 2016. It's not that it's REALLY better or praise worthy..... But, it's proven! And, the current non-existence of it adds to the value
