@Giles is the 717 mercerised selvedge chino replacing the 707?  IIRC the 707 will no longer be made?

Also, are any of the new denims going to be made in the 777 cut (18oz and Yenim)?

707 is sort of, like dead or at least, well dead…..

Next question. Yenim will not be made in anything other than 666 and 634.  New vintage 18oz could be made into anything......just not managed to think about it yet......

Question about the new 18oz vintage denim, and please excuse me if its a stupid one. What is vintage about it? The color, feel, or something else entirely?

haha good good. I was pretty clear on the "UHF is 12oz Aspero cotton", but I was uncertain due to the mention somewhere back in this thread about wool shirt coming out…it was Peter asking about another shirt, the 163 i think. Thank for the clarify, sir.  Amazing shirts coming out.. can't seem to get enough IH!

Thanks, guess I should have looked at the pretty pictures post first. What's the over/under on how many days it takes for the IHSH-156 to sell out?  😉

Not a stupid question, I was actually wondering the same thing.

The vintage gospel according to H:
Denim has to be woven slow and low tension by old shuttle.
And it has to be the thickest made by this way.
(Here H talks specifically about our 18oz)
_I don't prefer exaggerated face with just using thick yarn. It should be normal, natural face too.
Sanforized is also very important so that we can solve the problem while wearing and sticking to old style raw vintage is not first priority.

And the sewing should be tough like regular IH heavy oz denim, using core spun and thick thread. Again, if we stick to vintage, we would use cotton thread. But we don't do that.

Mixing old methods and new techniques is IH's "Vintage Style"_

Thanks for explaining it G! Makes a lot of sense and I'm looking forward to the vintage fabrics even more as a result of it.

Low tension weave?  So the guess would be more breathable than the current 18 oz?

Low tension would mean it should be slubby and irregular much like Oni's fabrics I would guess.  Which are great fabrics.

I can't imagine iron heart putting out something super-slubby like that. We'll have to wait and see, but I hazard it will be pretty uniform in texture.
