Iron Chef WAYCT - What Are You Cooking Today
-
Not done this recipe myself, but I often chuck a few oz's in towards the end of the cooking:
-
yeah - it can be good hectic
depends on your ingredients but generally (very) high cocao content chocolate goes quite nicely
i've used willies chocolates for that
http://www.willieschocolateshop.com/gourmet-dark-chocolate.html
a couple of ounces of the hacienda la trincheras to a chili for 4-6 people
-
Used this recipe for a try out (ta, G): http://whatleydude.com/2009/04/chocolate-chilli-yum/
Pot's in the oven, pics to follow but I guess chilli isnt very photogenic though…
-
Yeah, I'd like to contribute more, but I don't have a kitchen right now…
-
IJ, you having a couple of nights off from cooking? I'm so hungry cos I haven't had my virtual fab fodder for couple of days…
-
aha, and now you're pushing me….
I usually cook only on weekends, don't have time to do it on weekdays, and nobody eating it...
I'll try to think of something for the weekend.
Meanwhile (after work)I could put up a pic of wifey's creation, chocolate cake (almost like mudcake but wasn't)
if you folks like to? -
Oooh, yes please IJ! And I will make some effort to post in this thread, when others see pics of my cooking they should feel happier about posting their own.
-
Oh, that's so pretty! And SO chocolately (I can imagine it sticking to the roof of my mouth, mmm….)
Thanks, IJ (and belated happy birthday to Mrs IJ)

OK, that choc cake made me so hungry I decided to do some cooking. Cold and rainy here so perfect for a Jamie Oliver beef stew:
Fresh sage and onion, looks crap but wish I could post the lovely smell:
Realise when veggies, meat, wine and stock are being added that pan not big enough so messy transfer (not shown) to bigger casserole dish
Nearly ready to go in oven:
Now in oven with several hours slow cooking - hopefully enough time for me to clear up (not insignificant) mess in kichen…
