not so much a rant,,,more of a viewpoint/outlook,,,i have always been a kinda on the outside lookin in kinda guy,,,,looking the way i do///dressing the way i do,,call it the black sheep syndrome. As far back as i can remember,,i never wanted what society/parents were offering,,or ordering/telling ,,,never sat quite right with me,,,,,so it was two fingers up to the world,,and i chose my path,,,much to the disdain of my parents/relatives,,,,most ppl come to mention it,,,but fekk em,,,,i am who i am,,,and i dress accordingly.,,,and you know what,,,im now 44,,still a biker,,still liking loud obnoxious music,,still swilling ale/bourbon/fine malts,,,and i see all the ppl round where i live/visit,,and i have to laugh…....they all look the fekkin same,,,thats why this forum, and this one alone,,kinda feels like home...it provides,,and has provided me with the clothes that fit my personality,,and shown me other manufacturers,,,,,,,so fekk customs,,,,fekk following societys plan,,,,,live life like is yours,,,,coz there are way too many ppl out there that want to interfere ,,,,kind of an epiphany moment there

Here's a rant I have been harbouring for ages. When I did have my toes amputated, I wanted to keep them and go fishing with them. Just imagine the headline - "Man catches Pike on his own toe". When I can round from the anaesthetic my toes had been destroyed - the bastards…..

You sure the surgeon wasn't also a keen fisherman?

I like it, we Brits have been eating fish fingers for years, it's time for G to reverse the trend.

We need a thread where you mark down that value for various places…or a list would be good too...I always tell everyone $20 for Canada.
-
Won a vest from Lando on eBay… 38 €... Custom fees?.. 23 €... Just because the declared value was a bit too high (40 $).
I'm gonna start a school where you Yanks learn how to fill out custom forms correctly...
Seriously, that is bullshit. $40 is not too much to declare. Anyhow, my apologies. And 'yank" this…

Agree.
Getting charged a 70% customs fee is a bit obnoxious.

I can't be party to this conversation…...And I would prefer that a thread was not started. I hope you understand......
Completely understood.

Within North America, generally $75 is the limit before you start getting hit with duties. I'll agree with L on this, though; for international shipments you can't go much lower than $40. (Anything lower than $40 and I have no doubt the customs officers will get suspicious and inevitably deduce for themselves the total value of the parcel.)

Hmmm, sounds like Belgeranian Customs decided to re-value your package for you…

I have started a thread here:
