That’s tough. Ours was with us for eight years. Unfortunately, a divorce ended the working relationship, but my ex wife and my kids are still in contact and see her as much as they can. I felt bad when we separated, so I kept her on for about six months. I am not entirely sure what she did most of the day but my house and the laundry were always clean.

@northsouthdenimguy amazing you found someone for 8 years. 2025 was a roller coaster for my son - first a daycare that didn't work out, to bouncing between grandparents, and finally a nanny. Really hoping for a longer term solution for him this time (and for his sister who joined the picture mid last year).

It is tough. We were very fortunate, and it also helped that my ex-wife, although she was born here, is fluent in Spanish since her mother is Colombian. That opened up a whole other level of potential people. Both of my children were fluent in Spanish for a time. They have since lost it, and while they still understand it, it is not spoken at home the way it was with her.
Diana really became part of our family, which is what made it so hard when everything changed.
Good luck, I wish you well in your search

I really cannot stand FedEx. I never received my Viberg roper boots. Credit to Viberg for refunding my money and issuing a $100 credit. They truly went above and beyond.
Now I am on the fourth day of a delivery attempt for something else. I signed the release, left it on the door, and even posted an additional note asking FedEx to please drop the package. They are still refusing to do so.
At least with UPS, after the first or second delivery attempt, depending on the contents, they will drop the package at a local retail location for pickup the next day or sometimes even the same day. By contrast, the FedEx app will not even let me request a hold at a local location.

@northsouthdenimguy this is valid. Also they hit me with the "must be home to sign at 2PM" fairly often with no explanation. I may be the only one on earth, but I've had unusual success with DHL.

I had to go to the social security office today for an appt with my wife. Drove and and hour there and back. Wife realized when we got home she left her phone. So we drove another hour there and back. I just got home. To my credit, I was nice the whole time and didn't make one comment. She felt awful enough.

For our UK friends, Social Security is the US version of the DWP there, but they cover all sorts of personal data issues.

@northsouthdenimguy I had the same issue with fedex. Said they attempted delivery and never did. I asked them to hold it at the distribution center so I could pick it up. Went there and they said it was out for delivery but they told me to call customer service and the guy read off the website tracking information. Then it got delivered at about 9pm the next day. I feel your pain haha
