This first one (same Beer as Hot Ingrid is posing with, the tart), is by a very traditional Norwegian micro brewery. They’ve been around for decades and made a simple (but very tasty) pale ale. They decided to give it ironically hipster can art and the text “øl med ølsmak» translates as «Beer with beer taste».

Predictably expensive and I was only slightly underwhelmed. It’s been in the shop for months and there was one left.

Here’s the thing. When I took that photo I thought of you, and was going to post it and tag you. Then something for in the and now I can’t really remember how it was. I think it was solid. There may have been one or tow extra «Lockdown» beers in the picture. Sorry [emoji51]

Actually The more I think about it, The more I think it was very tasty and not as heavy or boozy as the abv would have you believe. I really should take notes…

Even though I’m a bourbon fan,I don’t necessarily want to much of the bourbon barrel flavor/oakiness in my beer. So far I have found the Jameson Barrel Aged stouts to be better balanced then their bourbon counterparts.

Dark sour aged in red wine barrels with cranberry and orange zest. I’m a big fan. Wish I bought more.

I’m with you. Sours aren’t my thing. I went to the brewery to grab some growlers. I like their IPA’s. They happened to be having a bottle release the same day. Got to taste it and got a few bottles. Maybe my tastes are evolving.
